Prof Exposes Himself, Labor Union Says, ‘You Can’t Fire Him,’ “The arbitrator’s decision is based on a line in the contract with the UNH Professor’s union. It says a professor has to show “morale delinquencies of a grave nature” to be fired.” Ummmm, if whipping out your wiener in a grocery store doesn’t meet that criteria then nothing will. We say fire the obviously brain-dead arbitrator and the professor.

UNH should look all of their members until the Professor is gone. If they stand united as 1, see if they are willing to fall over 1. Call their bluff.
I am sure anyone who has worked in a unionized environment can tell ever better stories. Here is one I personally experienced. A working at the plant I was an engineer at attacked another working with a screw driver, trying to kill him with it. The police were called in and ambulance, the man was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. We immediately fired him and, of course, the union fought it. We fought it all the way to arbitration. In the meantime he was convicted and spent time in jail. The injured worker had returned and the arbitrator said we had to take the criminal back to work when he got out of jail. Not only that, when he returned, the other worker became traumatized and the union fought for him to get councelling on the employers dime for the trauma of having to deal with working the same midnight shift with the man who had been convicted of trying to kill him.
This is how unions protect their workers, no care for the union member who was a victim, just to keep the numbers of employees who pay dues.

Of course, “MORALE delinquencies" are alot EASIER to prove: he made the others sad. “MORAL delinquencies" are harder. God Bless the illiterate Unions!
Has anyone investigated the arbitrator? Sounds like THAT moral compass is askew as well!
