Did anyone follow the link to her thesis published under the banner of "White Fragility"? Pure rhetoric and absolutely zero substance other than her belief system is Marxist based. As a Professor, what a waste of time but here she is being published by The U of NC. And who pays her salary? Another Bernadette and Bill in the making all on the tax payer's dime. That was quite a tell. She suffers from irrational white guilt but is too steeped in progressive nonsense to have any introspection.
She's in academia! She went to school for 16 years, then graduate school for a few more, then got a job as a professor. She's been institutionalized all her life! She doesn't have a clue, because she has never participated in the real world.
This goes beyond progressive nonsense (not that that isn't a major player). I've worked with technical professors who do side jobs as consultants (hydrologic, traffic, noise and air pollution). This is completely non-political. And while they are no question more grounded in the real world than a sociology prof, there is still a disconnect from the real ins and outs of the business world.

Speaking of death camps, I work with a guy who fled Cambodia during the slaughter. He was supposed to meet his family at the dock, and only half of them showed up. He had to leave anyway. There was no time to go through the city looking for them.
He came to America knowing NO English.
He has a good job, he speaks the language, attends church, has a nice family... and he's never stomped on a teenage girl's head in a McDonald's.
But,....can a person REALLY understand the American experience, without at least ONCE stomping on a teenage girl's head in a McDonald's?
Speaking of Asians, I did a Renaissance Faire at Fresno City College last weekend, and the event was put on almost entirely by the Student Services group of the college. Female to male ration was about 6-1, and well over half of the students in the group were Asian. It was a VERY well ran event, the kids were amazingly hard working, polite, efficient, and friendly. It was an absolute pleasure.
