Pity poor Chris Matthews. He’s lost his mind. Completely lost his mind.
The Hardball host started his Monday show with a twelve-minute rant against Sarah Palin because she put crib notes on her hand instead of putting a whole speech on a Teleprompter.
Matthews: Good evening. I`m Chris Matthews in New York. Leading off tonight: Can a palm reader be president? What do we think of kids in school who write stuff on their hands to get through a test? What do we think of a would-be political leader who does it to look like she`s speaking without notes? What do we think of Sarah Palin this weekend answering pre-screened questions from a like-minded audience in Nashville, a tea party convention, and still having to put a cheat sheet on her palm to answer what she calls the basics of her beliefs? How can someone presume to be auditioning for president when they can`t even answer questions they know are coming?
That was just the opening. It got worse. Much worse.
As the ratings go lower, MSNBC gets shriller. If that’s possible.

MSNBC’s Hardball is slowing down – as 2009 is coming to a close, the program is seeing some of its worst ratings of the year.
First reason Chris is in last place. I think he would do better in a format where would be his own guest, so he could ask and answer every question. This is the first of his two annoying traits. He was talking to lady last week and he would not this woman complete a sentence before he interrupted her.
Finally she finally told him that if he wanted to be his own guest, to go ahead.
Secondly, if Chris could stop spitting when he pronouces certain words, it would eliminate the crowd laughter. Its similar to Sylvester the Cat's lisp. Sylvester's lisp of course was much worse but at least the people he talked to stayed dry. I would guess being a guest on the show would be similar to being in a "Inspector Clouseu" skit from the Pink Panther movies.
Being Chris is a "Progressive", I am sure that these annoying traits are not his fault, probably just to many experimental evenings in college with a bong
He needs medication... enough said.
I have heard/seen some clips where it sounds like he may have been self medicating, if you catch my drift.
Why yes I do... yes I do. Not hard to believe either.
Where is Zell Miller when you need him?
I'd give anything to see him blast him with both barrels like he did at the '04 GOP convention.
Chrissy makes me sick!
At least they don't perpetuate the myth that Liberals are snicker and condescending jackasses who have never lived down getting shoved into lockers in high school.
If MSNBC and CNN are really wondering why FOX is getting all the good ratings, they really should watch the network for a little while and pay attention. The hosts of the shows rarely snicker, never condescend to people who don't agree with their points, and when they have more than one guest on the air, it's invariably someone with a differing opinion from the first.
This video is a painfully reminiscent of what it must be like when a cheerleader tries to join drama club. For the first time, the people in drama club get to be the ones to exclude the "popular people" and do everything to pour as much acid as they can muster.
I know that Chris Matthews isn't a journalist- he's an entertainer so I really shouldn't take him seriously at all. After watching this video, I don't see how anyone could take him seriously at all.
