Unfortunately, the media keep coming out with polls in which Bush is blamed more than Obama. During the Reagan and Clinton years the poverty rate was the same. During the Reagan years the New York Times did 50 stories on poverty with 10 of them on the front page. During the Clinton years the New York Times did 10 stories on poverty with none of them on the front page. It's how media bias works.
Congratulations to the Democratic party. Since 2006, you have managed to place 12.1 percent of the population below the poverty level.
Well, according to left-wing thinking, that's 46.2 million abortions that we should have had but didn't.
Isn't that how it works: the reason we abort people is so they won't grow up in horrid conditions? Isn't it the idea that you don't solve problems, you just stop human beings from existing when you feel like predicting that they'd wind up in the midst of those problems?
So why doesn't Planned Un-Parenthood use this as an educational/advertising concept?

Can we admit the war on poverty was a failure yet?
If a person has a decent job, that eliminates so many problems. It is not government's job to give everyone a job. However the very least they could do is not demonize and attack the people that actually can hire.
The war on poverty has been a huge success!
It has managed to classify you as "poor" if you own an X-Box or PS-2, a 50" flat screen, a cell phone, a car with 34" rims and 20,000 watt stereo, 14 lbs of gold, and the latest fashions.
The government's wealth redistribution system is chugging along at top speed, and the administrators of the cash are making sure they have jobs in perpetuity.
Poor presidents = poor citizens.
