60 miles, huh? Thatwouldn't get me o the next large city (Austin) From San Antonio. And I could NEVER drive as far as Houston ( about 3-4 hour drive) because there is absolutely NOWHERE to recharge. And God help the people in West TExas. THey wouldn't even be able to go grocery shopping! This is what the progressives don't get (one of the things.) Everything is within easy walking distance or there is LOTS of public transit in the Northeast, in Europe and Great Britain. Here out STATES are bigger than most of their countries in Europe, and outside The Northeast and Washington, most people live in areas where long distant driving is common, and more importantly, necessary. To drive from one side of San Antonio to the other is about 20 miles. So in a car that only makes 40 miles, we couldn't make a round trip. Same with tiny cars. THat works in Europe, where they have tiny roads to negotiate. Here in Texas, I am routinely driving on a 4-6 lane Interstate highway, fighting for space between 18 wheelers coming in or going to Mexico. These peolpe needto spend some time in the "flyover" states, so they can see how real people have to live!
The French are a little behind in recognising that electric cars don't work, anthropogenic global warming is a myth, and that fracking might be a good idea after all.
I'm as shocked as anyone to find out that Renault still survives, but then, in France, they are probably "too big to fail", so the government has subsidized them for decades.
Considering their track record, I wouldn't buy the damned thing even if my only other option was crawling wherever I had to go.

Actaully, as a fan of Fourmula 1 racing, Renault never went away. They do ok...
