Report: Justice considering Lance Armstrong suit: Perhaps the Justice Department should go after crimes that actually have victims. Like say when someone gives guns to Mexican drug lords and then as a result 200 people die.

Why is this a federal issue to begin with? He is a lying manipulative cheat, but that hasn't caused prosecution to anyone in Congress.
Here is the core of this issue regarding whether this Justice Department will pursue action against Lance Armstrong. He is white. That's all you need to know.

Just prosecute him under fraud statutes and get on with more important things.
But I wouldn't call it a victimless crime. Chemical cheating does indeed have victims. Kids are messing themselves up in order to play high school (hell, JUNIOR high school!) sports.
Just outlaw sports. Then only criminals will play.
Judging by the number of players' arrests in their off-hours, it seems that sports is definitely headed in that direction.

First off, I hate drug cheats. They are destroying sports. That said, bike racing has been a field test for steroids, HGH, & any other ways to cheat the system. They strip the winner of this race, & cannot award it to someone else because so many of those in the race were cheating as well. Entire teams were ejected form the race for this crap.
Lance Armstrong was the greatest at winning the toughest bike race because he was the best cheat in a sport dominated by cheating. Almost like pro wrestling, but not as interesting.
Any sideshow the Injustice Department can become involved in that will divert attention from them not doing their real job.
Let me guess, rather then pass a budget, Congress will get involved with this rather lane excuse for an athlete.
Oh, for sure this is a much more attractive subject for the House leadership to pursue than challenging O on ANY topic. I am sure it is high on their 2013 to do list.

Normally, I'd say something like, "Nothing will happen to him now that High Priestess Oprah has pronounced absolution over the sinner Armstrong" but since she's on the outs with The First Ton o' Fun Lady, all bets are off.
The US Olympic committee has announced that they are stripping him of his Olympic medals.
