        • Thanks. The other guy's insurance company paid me more for my truck repair than they offered me for my medical bills!
          We have no fault medical here, my auto insurance pays 80% after a $250 deductible, and I have to deal with the other insurance company for the balance and any extra if I want it.
          I had an MRI, at $1500, minus $250, leaves $1250. 20% of that is $250, which means $500 I owe already. They offered me $1000 for medical. I told them I know my bills will be more than that. I didn't tell them I wasn't settling for just medical bills. Although I won't be asking for a lot more, just a token payment, but if they want to fight with me, I'll bring in a lawyer. I hate to do that, but I will if I have to.

        • If the lieyers there work on contingency, I'd get one lined up just in case. The insurance companies are NOT your friends. And they know how to screw you.

          One handled my Workman's Comp suit last summer and the other one is an RN turned Lawyer.
