Don't forget, this is the guy who didn't even live in Newark while he was mayor. In fact, didn't even live in New Jersey, so he really isn't eligible to be senator. It's like laws don't even exist anymore.

that much is absolutely true.
There is also solid grounds for believing that the MSM is not touching the story because Booker is potentially the next celebrity politician of the dems.
But at the same time, corruption in Newark is a dog bites man story.
I was born in Newark, grew up a few miles to the west, and still live in what would be considered the Newark metro area (to whatever extent one exists). I don't ever remember a time when Newark was corruption-free. In my life, I was aware of 10 presidents (I was born during the Eisenhower admin, but JFK was the first president I was aware of).
During that time, there were 5 mayors in Newark, including Booker's replacement. Talk about machine politics! 2 went to jail (40% - Addonizio and James), and one came close (Gibson). Booker was smart enough to get the hell out before another federal AG (attorney general) shifted into the other AG (aspiring governor) mode.
and this is somehow different than obamacare, michelle Antoinette's college chum (Canadian) gets a sweetheart, no bid contract to write up obamacare and that has worked out so well for "working" Americans. Booker and his affiliates are perfect for appointments into the obama administration.
What America needs is a very dark deep prison, obama, holder, pelosi, and the rest of congress can sit and await trial for treason, than start going after these other thief's with a vengeance!
No surprises here, he has a D after his name.
