Republican candidates have jumped out to a record-setting 12-point lead over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending Sunday, August 15, 2010. This is the biggest lead the GOP has held in over a decade of Rasmussen Reports surveying.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 48% of Likely Voters would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate, while 36% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. Support for Republicans is up two points from the previous week, while support for Democrats dropped three points.Republicans have led on the Generic Congressional Ballot since June of last year, and their lead hasn’t fallen below five points since the beginning of December. Three times this year, they’ve posted a 10-point lead. Prior to this survey, GOP support since June 2009 has ranged from 41% to 47%. Support for Democrats in the same period has run from 35% to 40%.
Eighty-three percent (83%) of Republicans back their party’s candidate, while 75% of Democrats support the candidate of their party. Voters not affiliated with either party prefer the GOP candidate by a 52% to 21% margin.Fifty-four percent (54%) of white voters favor the Republican, but 77% of African-Americans prefer the Democrat.

Hey for any of you interested, Palin will be on FNC at 7:00 and 10:00 Pacific. I do not at all like Gretta Van Whoever, but I will watch tonight.
If you read my posts I haven't ever used the word Teabagger.
Palin didn't even know what the vice-president did when she accepted her nomination as running mate.
She said that she was qualified to make decisions about foreign policy because she could see Russia and would be the first to see planes flying towards the US.
You really want to try and defend her? You have to love Americans love for mediocrity....

She's a pretty, charismatic, Republican and a major threat to their communist agenda. she calls the barockstar out on his bull and that's scary so they blast her in the media and walk around thinking they're better. Like bill maher, smarter and more eloquent than everyone.
Would you want to go to a surgeon that didn't understand all of the procedures that his professions demanded? I'm guessing not. Why would you defend the intelligence of a politician that is clearly not qualified for her positions?

Well Sammie, it appears that the majority of folks in the USA did just that in the last presidential election. We elected an idiot with zero experience running anything and look what we have now. Most thinking people don't see Sarah as presidential, but she's twice as qualified at Obama.
Palin's actual quote: "They're our next-door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska." Sam, you really want to compare credentials? What the hell kind of executive experience did Obama have? I'll take Palin over the community organizer.
Mediocrity would be a big step up from where we are with the current administration.

Hey Mike, Thank you. I very much hope Palin get the nod. The problem we have to consider is that Gingrich looks like he is going to run against her. I like Mr. G, but I do NOT want him to battle against her. It will cost the winner too much money. Either would be great, but not against each other. After the primary, they will probably be against obombie-the-commie. He will be rested and have LOS of money, AND have the media kissing his rear end.
The 2010 mid-terms are going to be a huge battle Take Reid of Nevada. Sharon Angle is sort of a basket case. Reid has the eye-recognition, and is filling his war chest. I don't give Angle a 50/50 chance. We have to support the Tea Parties, and Stay optimistic, BUT stay cautious.
If Palin is the candidate, Republicans lose. I love Palin, but not for president. Smart or not, she does not come off as overly intelligent. Tough, yes. And there are simply too many people who won't vote for her.
Her best role is doing exactly what she is doing right now. I hope to hell that she realizes that.
Might not be too bad in a Cabinet position.

I have to admit you may very well be right here. Gingrich is playing footsie with Hanity, as to his presidential desires. In the last pres race, I liked all the candidates except McCain't, and Ron Paul. (Ron Paul's ideas are worth considering, but he is just too weird to get elected.) I like Thompson, and Huckabee, and think either could be a formidable opponent to obombie-the-commie.

Nah guys. I think you are waaaaaay too optimistic. I have never seen a party who could so aptly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory as the Republicans can. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know how totally bad Obombie was during the campaign. And the bestest the Repubs could do was McCain't? What a lackluster C- politician he is. I think we had better keep our noses to the grindstone, and not start hatching our chickens until we've counted them...

Right you are, Vic. It's a shame that the repubs so easily and seemingly eagerly throw elections away. McCain is a prime example, not even being able to beat a commie. I firmly believe Palin could've won that one for him if his team would have just turned her loose. Nonetheless, I'm guardedly optimistic for Nov. 2. Very guarded, very optimistic.
There's a tsunami coming in November and it's going to sweep away a lot of Democrats
and a few rino's too.
