Reuters notices North Korea is poor. “The reality is that life is tough in North Korea in the best of times, however. International sanctions over its nuclear weapons program, a decaying economy and a defective food distribution system have left almost a third of its 24 million people poor and hungry and it has few friends besides its neighbor China.” Just by coincidence they also have a dysfunctional political system and incompetent, self-serving “leaders”, but the terrible conditions are just the result of bad luck.

When there is no food, the quality of the food distribution system is of little consequence.
No different than Cuba. It's just peachy-keen that all medical care is free, but when there is no aspirin, not to mention medicines for more serious conditions, what does it matter that it doesn't costs you nothing to get nothing.
I wish you hadn't posted this article, we're now in danger of the return of the North Korea Defenders Trolls!
Remember this guy?

The reporters at Reuters are pretty sharp people! It only took them 70 years to find out North Korea was a shithole and its citizens were poorer than dirt!
It's simple--those darn "haves" aren't working hard enough for the "have nots"
See what the government "builds"?
They have trouble believing that a socialist let country could be anything less than true nirvana.
I have seen numerous photos of the North Korean gold metal winners at the Olympics biting their medals and I was perplexed. Until I was told that they hoped that they were made of chocolate.
Somewhere I saw a screen shot of the North Korean News, they showed the medal total and they had 46 gold, no silver or bronze or bronze, and China had 46 silver and no gold or bronze, and Russia had 46 bronze and no silver or gold....And on Fail Blog there was a newspaper column that showed the medal totals and they had North Korea listed as "Naughty Korea" and South Korea listed as "Nice Korea"..I think it was a newspaper from down under...See what happens when your dear leader gets pooped out of a mountain?
I don't know why anyone tries to fool Reuters. They got sixth grade edumacations over there.
They were star pupils at the Jethro Bodine Cyperin' School
Couldn't get past the threes in their "Gozintas."
