In the PJ MEdia story, a commenter stated that this judge is a poorly disguised prosecutor doing her level best to see that her side wins.
Maybe she is hoping to get a "reward" from Ohole after her great assistance to the prosecution.

At first I thought this was just another race bating gig. The usual leftist suspects say George Zimmerman and thought he was white and it was just too good to check. Pretty sure that was why barky got involved and did some community organizing. I also thought the leftists were chipping away at the SYG laws coming up. Now I think it is all about making people think they should not defend themselves because the consequences are too great. Particularly if you are white or white-Hispanic against blacks.

Now Judge Nelson is seeking her time in the spot light justice be damn. What is the definition of a judge. A lawyer who could not make a living at being a lawyer so they become a judge.

The only problem I see , and the reason the judge suppressed this evidence, is because Trayvon is not available to refute or explain the data on his cell phone. As opposed to Zimmerman who is available. Since Trayvon is unavailable, the data on his cell phone might tend to confuse the jurors in that it is not known in what context this data was created. Kids put crap online all the time, it doesn't make it true. Therefore the probative value of this data might be outweighed by its prejudicial effect. All that said, I think Zimmerman will walk because based on the proven facts in this trial, the prosecution failed to meet its burden. But I think both victim and defendant made mistakes, and George had the last chance to avoid confrontation. George is a scared little man who epitomizes society's fear, ignorance, and cloaked racism. He's an asshole and Trayvon was a dumb kid with lackluster parents, who in turn produced a lackluster individual.
One would expect that your "Z will walk" comment becomes the reality. I for one have my doubts as this Judge is definitely biased. Her direction to the jury will be interesting. To your comment that Z is an A'hole, you only need to read the testimony of the two ladies he welcomed into the neighborhood (and other testimony) to establish that he is far from being an A'hole. Just the opposite, maybe he care's to much and should have just walked away from his civic duty as a Neighborhood Watchman and let these people rot. I suspect that the unintended consequences of this fiasco will be that Neighborhood Watch groups will become a thing of the past and arming the individual to watch over his castle will become the norm with a lot more dead to make the case.

As to the facts, the text messages should have come in because they are relevant to his ability to fight and familiarity with guns. The fact that St Skittles is not around is why one needs to go through the two part test mentioned in the article. You are right, St Skittles is a dumb kid who decided he was yards away from his father's house, but rather than go home he decided to confront GZ and sucker punch him, proceeding to prove his ground and pound game on an out of shape dude who didn't see it coming. I don't think GZ is smart enough to have concocted a story where Skittles states someone is going to die and go for the gun (yes in the dark). GZ exhibited restraint by only putting one round in him, he had called 911 and was going back to his vehicle when attacked. Maybe Skittles was feeling "big" due to doing some "bud", and decided to beat some "crazy assed cracker" down. Now the Choom Gang look-a-like is deader than the last bowl he smoked. Actions have consequences, and he earned his death sentence. GZ was totally justified in his actions.

Yes I suppose name calling is just a symptom of my aforementioned ignorance and fear present in our society. By your comments it’s obvious you harbor ill will towards blacks.(cloaked in funny name calling). This ill will is borne from fear of a big black brother ramming his Mandingo member square inside your moms, sister, or wife’s meaty c--t. ( or perhaps the desire to be rammed yourself?)
