How many revisions to the Q1 report have there been? Two or three? Q2 numbers will be out long before the midterms. A negative result equals recession. That won't bode well for the Democrats prospects nor should it.
Simple fix. O's IRS HD erasing tech teams simply revise down Q1 a little more so Q2 will be just oh so barely positive and no recession. Just sweep a little Q2 dirt under the Q1 rug. Viola! No recession.
I thought I was the only person in the world that cynical, but that was my first thought this morning. The first quarter going down is not nearly as important politically as the dreaded official recession label.
I'm predicting a recession. Not because I want that to happen but because this administration has created the business environment to cause one.
It doesn't really matter since there's no inflation, we can stand a little recession.
I just thank God that the cost of energy, food, and clothing isn't part of the inflation index any more, or we might be in real trouble!
At least we still have ethanol to use up all that darned corn nobody wants to eat.

CNN: no big whoop to shrink the economy by 3%. In fact, it is a very good thing. Means we can afford to let millions of uneducated, sick, and poor third worlders in to come have a long nice time on our social safety nets.
Also means more people are freed up from job lock to spend more time with their families and follow their dreams.
