Rivian recalls nearly ALL of its 13,000 electric vehicles over loose fastener that may cause drivers to lose control at the wheel. If you wait long enough, the nut is loose behind the wheel is now true.

- The company has reported seven issues with the fasteners since August, but no injuries have been documented

Just finished a job a few months back for a guy who worked at a company in W. Michigan that was one of three in the country fabricating body panels for the Rivian. It was a complete sh*t show of wasted time, effort and money since they didn't know what the hell they were doing.
Ford will not fare much better with their dismal towing performance.

It's easy to put specs on paper and publish them on a website. Atlis hasn't even delivered one truck yet. Ford's electric pickup makes bold claims too, but as soon as you put it to even a little bit of work the batteries are drained quickly.
Then turn on the a/c and lights and poof, no power in even less time.
Or try to use it here in Michigan, where it's cold in the winter and there is no motor heat to use for warmth so the battery has to generate heat for the passengers, too--plus batteries become hugely less inefficient when they're cold so...
Please tell me the steering is not electronically controlled by the computer too. I wouldn't put it past these idiotic car makers.
Lots of new cars are drive-by-wire. I always wondered what happens when it takes a shit while you're doing 80 on the freeway.
I guess if it takes a shit, the occupants of the car are going to take a shit too. I'm no engineer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
