World Net Daily’s Lester Kinsolving asked Robert Gibbs a question about President Obama’s Social Security number (In case you haven’t kept up with that part of the Obama mystery, your social security number indicates you were born in. The number says the President was born in Connecticut, but neither Obama nor his mother ever suggested that they lived in that state).
Instead of answering the question that was asked, Gibbs attempted to deflect it by bringing up the issue of Obama’s birth certificate.
It’s a very strange exchange. Very strange, indeed.

What I find rather entertaining is that someone who hates this place and is hated at this place SO much has spent ALL DAY as well as the past day or two here. That would be like me spending all day at the HuffingtonPost or something like that. Those people are far too crazy. I don't like it so I don't go there. Why can't this guy be the same?Anyways... I remember seeing an article where this grandmother's grand daughter, who was born a day after Obama, had a Birth Certificate, an original, that had a number lower than his. I'm going to go find this article... it's an interesting concept, as a lower number means that the person was born first. Since Obama's was higher... could it be a fake? Who knows. Honestly, I don't care if he was born here or not. The fact remains that he sucks as a president.
Edit: Within a minute of writing this, I found it! Here's my EVIDENCE of reason of possible controversy... and Darnell says nobody here produces facts...
http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=105347
James it is not hard to imagine that trolls do get some kind of sexual satisfaction by antagonizing others. I have wondered about that myself, because there is really no REASON to antagonize others on a site that is obviously not parallel to one's opinions. I don't waste my time on liberal sites. I get no satisfaction in doing it. I don't visit and if I visit to see some stupidity someone as pointed out to me, I don't inject myself into the conversation. Why do it? It makes no sense, so it has got to be something that a lib troll is getting out of it and if it is not money then it has got to be a perverted form of sex. Or else he gets no love nor attention from Mother and has no girlfriend that would like to deal with his BS and this is his only way to get the attention that he so desperately seeks. The psychology of a troll... gross.
Somebody should really do a study. Throughout this afternoon's posting (which I have really, really enjoyed... lots of fun today) I can only come to the same conclusions you do; It's either for money (really??) or some kind of validation. I don't know whether to feel happy for Darnell that he has a job in these tough times, or to pity him because he's had a tough life and needs to seek out any kind of attention he can, even if it's negative (this means you SHOULD feel the trolls... if they don't get attention from you, they might do something drastic like, kill themselves or something).
There is a third option... it could be that he/she is just really, really stupid. I don't like to think that's it, though. I think I'm just gonna assume that it's money. The second option is just too sad and makes me kinda depressed.
Uhm... I would say that it could bea combo. Stupidity plus seeking attention plus thrills (sexual in nature?). If it is money there are better and more honest ways to make a buck and he should be shunned.
Thumbs up, James. Hard to rationalize, huh? LOL! I like that you made an attempt, though!
I I I I I I I I .... he is an idiot. Now he never truly answered the social security question did he?I have a social security number from I think Florida. I have never lived there etc however I am naturalized so it was kind of assigned to me and overall that is the state that I went to get all naturalization processes done even though I never lived there per se. It was a complicated and timely set of circumstances so if he has a CT social and he never lived there then I have to say that he is naturalized as well then...
I mean what else can I possibly think?
Now if he is naturalized is it legal for him to Prez? I thought only those born US could be Presidents? Am I wrong?
Unless for some reason their parents forgot to apply for social when he was born in Hawaii and the Mother or someone remembered and applied for it and it came up on CT? Did he wait until he was older? why? and why in CT?
Hmmm.... the Constitution say:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
The questions that continue to come up are 1) was BO born on U.S. soil (military bases and embassies count as U.S. soil) or, if not, 2) does it even matter, if he had at least one parent that was a U.S. citizen when he was born. We know, for sure, his dad was a British subject being that Kenya, at the time, was a British colony.
Those questions are, obviously, still being debated.
He is an American citizen due to his Mother for sure. I don't necessarily doubt that he is an American citizen due to that reason, but the question is why allow the controversy to continue? Did his Mother had ANY point stop being an American citizen herself? I mean whats the problem? Why not be transparent as he promised he would be? Why get a social in CT (which can be simply answered)? Is it BECAUSE he was naturalized? and if he was then what happened to the fact that he was born from his American Mother? I mean why can't he answer. It is so odd.
Agreed, on all points. My bad for mentioning that the dad was a British subject without also saying I believe his mother was an American. I also believe she was always an American citizen (can't be sure about duality).
Where I'm fuzzy is on the question you bring up and that's naturalization. I'm not quite sure because I'm not sure whether the ammendment saying that if they're not on American soil but one parent is an American they're still natural got passed or not.
Either way, I'm with you--this could've easily been cleared up if everyone were on the level. Unfortunately, as with all things on the left, they're on the slope.
There's never been any question that his mother was a citizen, but she wasn't old enough at the time to transfer that citizenship to him if he was born out of the country.
Seriously?! I have never heard that in my entire life. Someone has to be a legal adult to transfer citizenship to a child born out of the country? If that is true, that brings a great deal of issues if she was not of age when she had him.
Was she 17 or something? Honest question. I ask because I think I remember her being pretty young.
Just looking for your reasoning.
Did you see Jake Tapper of ABC news get up and walk out? He new that was a bullshit question. Turn off Fox and come back to reality
Are you G-d? How exactly do you know what Jake Tapper had in his mind when he walked out? And why would a professional reporter walk out because of a question? He could have gone to the bathroom, he could have gotten a call...
Besides who cares why he stood up and left and how does that have ANY bearing on the question? The question is legitimate and I I I I I I Gibbs deflected it instead of anwering it.
I live in reality. I think you haven't lived there in a while.
Hahhah--it said "Turn off Fox and come back to reality". That's like a black widow saying to its mate "hey, come here--this won't hurt a bit..."
In short, the radical left's (communist, marxist, progressive, etc) version of reality has no basis in fact. But we all know that.
Because I tweet with him and he told me. Look at his face right when the guy asks that question
LOL really show me his tweets to you. Also leaving because someone asks a question is a very moronic thing to do especially if he is paid to go to the press conference to begin with. He wouldn't be very professional...
You would think that a professional reporter would want to report on the fact that stupid questions are being asked, if that were the case.
I tweet with him too... I am right now, actually. And he says that you're a fibber. And he wants me to ask you how it feels to be a lair lair with pants constantly on fire. :D
darnell. Your mom called. You missed the short bus AGAIN!
LOL!
And it's last comment about "taking on this whole website" by its lonesome was hilarious!!
Delusional, to be sure!! Spew a bunch of B.S., take the tactics that the left uses and attempt to project it onto right, and get their butt handed to them--great strategy!
Well, well, the paid Obamanites are heavy on this board. These "trolls" are paid. Some even think they get a bonus for how many responses they get. The goal is to monopolize the board so people will get sick and tired and leave all together. Please do not keep these guy/gals employed with our tax money by engaging them (stolen tax money at that). IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE. p.l.e.a.s.e??
These 'trolls', these PAID trolls have hit breitbarttv bigtime now as well. They are defending the abusive congressman Etheridge. Comment section has reached almost 2000! It is not anywhere pleasureable acanning the comments any more and they would go away if not engaged and succussful at what they are doing. Ignore them.
Hold on a mo'... are you serious? They actually PAY people to be morons on forums and chat rooms and stuff? I don't know why such a concept surprises me, really. It's such a.... "politician" thing to do. I still find it hard to believe though... I wonder if I could find some conservative politician or organization to pay me to go bug liberals. I've done worse jobs.
I doubt lil' ol' Darnell could ever stop the folks here, though. The thought of anybody leaving because of him (her?) is almost laughable... he's a lot of fun. And if it gets out of hand, admin will just remove him. Been there, done that.
Turd the boy wonder (like I need to say it but I'm referring to darnell) has taken self-hating to a new level. It's really entertaining in a way...
Paid? Put down the crack pipe and wake up. I assure you I'm doing this on my own. Taking on this whole website. Pathetic, goes to show you that repugs will open up conspiracy theories about anything.
..."Pathetic, goes to show you that repugs will open up conspiracy theories about anything."
Such as 9-11 was an inside job? Like that kind of conspiracy? The far left libs own that beauty!
This is part of the reason we installed the Thumbs Up/Down rating system. All it takes is a net three Thumbs Down votes to hide a comment. If a troll's comments continue to be hid quickly (and not commented upon), they will soon tire and go away.
Yea we know dip shit. You think that was sooo genius. You want to protect the slime your pumping out of here. God forbid one person show up and school the entire site. Right wingers are never interested in talking facts or debating just propaganda. Liberals used to not have a way to deal with it. Now we are wise to your shit. No more Swift Boating, the American people are sick of that shit. You go ahead and keep it up. We'll see what happens in November when the balance of power stays with the Democrats.
I think I had one hidden, mostly 'cause I wasn't clear enough. Does this make me a "troll"?
Actually, a few more years of obamanomics and I'll be living under a friggin' bridge! So.. I shall accept the reference as a challenge to stay out from under.
Keep up the good work admin - it's always a hoot here at IHTM.
Good point and good advice. What's that saying? "Don't feed the trolls..."
That is what I always say. It is best not to feed the trolls...
Amen brother.
Just ignore the thin skinned critics and Dem fools/tools. I read their rants just to see other's opinions. 99.9% of the time it just reinforces my position. As my pappy once said - if you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance - baffle 'em with bullsh**. And BS is about all the left has... well... left.
Without an audience they'll just go away.
Wow, I see some poster named Darnell Eubank thinks anything & everything that is critical of Obama is because of race. You are a puke, let me explain something to you, & I'll type real slow so even you can understand my point.
The whole "birther" thing confuses you libs/progs, but it is so simple. When you go to the store to buy beer & fags, the cashier may ask you for ID. If you don't produce it, they can deny you from buying them. Same thing goes for people going into a bar, strip club, renting a car or a hotel room, you need to prove you are who you are. You want to get a passport, they will REQUIRE you to turn over your BIRTH CERTIFICATE, & you get it back when they send your new passport to you. I just went through that process in March.
You are right, most of those who don't like Obama are about colors, but it's not what you think it is. It's about the fact that Obama is RED-politically, not about his skin color. Just so you know, I can't stand either side of his family, the Dunham side, you know the white side of his family, his mother was just as much of a marxist as his old man was. Something about my family backround, the Russian part that fled during the Bolshevik revolution that makes me hate marxists & marxism no matter who they are, what color they are, or what part of the world it comes from. Yelling racism means nothing to me, I've never had issues involving race, & since I have played sports ALL MY LIFE, I've always been around people of all races, & gotten along with most of those I have played with & against. I am proud of that, & since I am about freedom, liberty, inclusion, merit, & common interests, you sir, can pound sand.
Obamas Birth certificate http://www.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/birth_certificate_5.jpg
I guess factcheck.org is covering it up for him, Huh?
Everything and Anything that is critical of Obama. You GOP retards have been out here hating since day one. Because you president slumped off in shame after he ruined the country you idiots decide fair is fair and you go on the attack from day one. Rush saying he hopes the president fails. That was two weeks after the inauguration. The Tea Party was no where to be found during the Bush presidency when he racked up a trillion in debt after CLINTON gave him a surplus.
Let correct you darnell, Bush43 pissed off more then a few conservatives by not cutting back on spending, he could have vetoed a bill or 2, but did'nt. He also sucked on border security, the case involving agent's Ramos & Compean should never have gone as far as it did.
As for us "GOP retards" being out hating him since day 1, you are wrong. We conservatives have been hating him since he was Senator Obama, who had no record from his days in Springfield because he always voted "present". Can't do that in The Oval Office, but since he has never run a damn thing in his life, his performance does'nt suprise me. Not to mention all of the people he was taught by, those who influenced & shaped his beliefs, all of which made the end product that is Obama. We are seeing the results of his lack of everything & anything that would make him a proper President & a Commander in Chief.
We conservatives see this, & this is why El-Rushbo said "I hope he fails". What Rush meant was this, he wanted Obama to fail in installing his agenda for America because he knows that liberalism/socialism/progressivism has failed everywhere it's been tried, so why should America be subjected to a system that we know does'nt work? Rush was a patriot to say what he did because unlike Obama & those who shaped him, he cares about America. Obama is like most libs/progs in America, he is embarassed by how great America is on the world stage, & he feels it is time to lower America down with the rest of the world. He does'nt give a shit about the greatest nation that has ever existed on the planet, & more people are waking up to that fact every day.
Wow, danybhoy--well put and well spoken--nice job!
Get yourself some help. Your ranting belies your overindulgence in kool aid that seems to have altered your ability to reason and engage in rhetorical argument. The name calling tells me your social development is stalled at an early elementary level along with your "persuasive" skills.
You might want to go back to the sites you fine refreshingly well informed and detail the alleged abuse you endured here while we go on our merry way embracing and espousing those values you find so reprehensible. You have given it your best effort - time to retreat.
Blah Blah Blah... Again no counter, just Hyperbole...
Please look up the definition of hyperbole, so that when you use it, you are more aware of what it actually means and are able to use it in the correct context that will not make you look like some douchebag trying to use big words to hide the fact that he hasn't an actual clue what in hell he's talking about.
Example: Darnell is the most annoying troll in the entire history of the Internet!
Don't get a big head, Darnell... that last sentence was merely hyperbole.
But isn't hyperbole sometimes true? Isn't Darnell, in fact, the most annoying troll here?
That's why I said "in the entire history of the internet". I knew if I referred to just this site that I myself would be guilty of misuse of the word.
Well, he seems to be the only troll here, so yes. It isn't hyperbole.
I'm not so sure it was hyperbole.
Took the words right outta my mouth...
James I bet you look just like your avatar
Nah, I'm not nearly as sexy and smooth as good ol' Wario. Wah ha ha ha!
This is simply not true about SSN being issued by the state that you were born!
Is is issued by the state, where you applied for it. My Dad was in the USAF and we lived in Germany when I got my SSN and it starts in 215. 215 is Maryland and I have never lived in the state, but it was where they processed the application.
It is mind boggling that this is some great conspiracy. This is a great example of how the morons in this administration can take a nothing issue and turn it into a huge mess simply by not being honest and upfront. Nor knowing the facts.
I thought that sounded a bit odd. And the whole thing is totally moronic. I don't really bother to question where Obama was born; what bothers me is the hemming and hawing that the administration does when people ask about his birth certificate or SSN or what have you. The whole thing could be put to rest so easily, and yet they let this crap continue. I can only assume that doing so serves an agenda of some sort. After all, most politicians aren't stupid... just kinda... evil.
Oh wow I silenced this birther. Way to shut your mouth and bow to the evidence. James you are as evil as any of them
Dude, what the hell are you talking about, seriously? Did I ever, at any point, claim that I believed that Obama's citizenship was in question? Let me answer that for you: No.
Again with the putting everybody into whatever little group you think they belong in. I have never been a "birther". They have every right to question whatever they like, and to think whatever they want, however. This is America, after all.
Before you start claiming any "victories", try and make sure you actually know what the hell is going on. Follow the conversation, read what people have actually written before responding with idiocy.
I have yet to do to you what you have done repeatedly to me.. that is, put you in a defined group of my own choosing. But every time you post, you get closer and closer to being in the group titled "Far Left Whack Jobs". Seriously, you're one moronic comment away from being in "Coast to Coast AM with George Noory" territory with all the reincarnation and U.F.O. weirdos.
Hey now. Don't be putting Darnell with us Coast to Coasters. We're nowhere near nutty enough for him.
Sorry, but every time I am up late enough to listen to that show, he's talking to somebody that sounds as if they should be locked in a rubber room with a stick between his teeth. I don't know if it's always like that, maybe I've just umm... gotten lucky, every time I've tuned in. :D
Well, can we think of a reason why Barry Soetoro would be applying for a drivers license in Connecticut?
Where are your papers sir?
Got 'em right here, boss. Now, if I were applying for a job working for Darnell and Associates, and they required proof of citizenship, I would show them to you. Since I'm not applying for a job with you, you have no standing. Obama DID apply for a job working for the people of the United States of America, and we demand that her provide proof of citizenship. I don't want any illegal aliens working for me.
Mine are in my wallet, where they can be easily accessed as proof of who I am and my citizenship. If asked by the authorities, I can produce them at a moments notice without even causing a national uproar! :D
What a tool. I don't believe you. Prove it. Here is Obamas, look at who took the picture. I guess factcheck.org is in on the conspiracy.
http://www.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/birth_certificate_5.jpg
http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2009-07-27/5-birther-myths-debunked/
You are correct about the SSN being issued in the state in which you applied for it.
I also remember some idea, years ago, to start issuing SSNs so that you can't guess where a person was from based on their number. Didn't follow it that closely, though.
Still can't figure out why BO would have one from CT, though--wouldn't that mean he didn't get his number until he was an adult??
Well, if Obama worked at Baskin-Robbins in high school, he would have had to get it then, back in the late '70's.
If I remember correctly, it was 1983/1984 when the IRS said children 2 years & older had to get SSN. By 1987, it was applied for automatically at birth in the hospital. It was required to help prevent identity theft.
So, where the CT thing comes in, go figure. File it with all the other mysteries of Captain Zero.
Perhaps Darnell could just explain the anomaly with the social security number and spare the hysteria about imagined racism. I don't consider myself a birther, but the reaction of people like darnell makes me wonder.
I'll explain it. We have a black prez and there is a certain part of the population that is as racist as a Mississippi burning. Name another president who has been asked to supply such documentation.
http://www.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/birth_certificate_5.jpg
Darnell, I noticed that you still made no attempt to explain the anomaly with the SS numbers. Actually, NOBODY has made any serious attempt to explain it.
I'm pretty sure that EVERY president has to provide that information. Pretty sure it's kinda par for the course. I could be wrong though... I'm not a lawyer or constitutional scholar or anything.
That's how the left, and the administration, dismiss ANY legitimate question about ANY of Hussein's hidden records...they twist it around, tie it to the "birthers", and simply laugh it off. What they have to hide must me pretty damning for them to go the lengths that they've gone to keep everything hidden. The "birthers" have been perpetuated more by the lame-stream media than by the birthers themselves. It's a perfect way for the media/administration to paint ANYONE who has questions as a loon.
The birthers came up with the conspiracy. Dude are you the guy Nick Nolte Plays in Tropic Thunder?
Check out this poll about the Tea Party: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/right-now/2010/06/poll_the_sagging_popularity_of.html
Here is one of the founders of the Tea Party, yes I said founder: http://chattahbox.com/images/2010/01/teaparty_robertson_spelling_racist_problem.jpg
You really don't understand what the Tea Party actually is, do you? It has no true "founder", and it isn't tied together on a national basis in any real way. Defining the entire movement by the supposed opinions of a so called "founder" is in and of itself completely ludicrous. It's even stupider than trying to define every single Democrat in the country solely on the actions of the loudest amongst them.
For example; I count myself as a Libertarian, and I'm pro choice. If I pay for a national TV ad in which I proclaim that I'm a pro choice Libertarian, does that make every Libertarian in the country pro choice as well? Well, does it, Stupid?
Dude, I know all there is to know about your white pride movement. Look at these signs...
http://yglesias.thinkprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/racism.jpg
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://likeawhisper.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/nazi6tonyramao1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://bijenkorf.wordpress.com/2009/09/17/photos-912-d-c-protest-signs/&usg=__YPCb1zvoKC5IcCMFn5gZS5SndtQ=&h=400&w=550&sz=38&hl=en&start=4&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=7DfDOiB6N745yM:&tbnh=97&tbnw=133&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtea%2Bparty%2Bracist%2Bsigns%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26tbs%3Disch:1
And who said it was "my" movement, other than you? I've never been to a Tea Party, myself. Nor do I think of myself as "Tea Partier".
And you're still missing the point. A few far-right (or far left) wing nutbags in a crowd don't represent the entire crowd. What is it about this incredibly simple concept that you find so hard to understand?
Why must you group people together so arbitrarily? Is it because you are a follower of Marx and you know that dividing people is the best means by which to control them? Are you merely working to further the agenda of almost every politician in the country. If so, shame on you. Regardless of our differences of opinion, it should really be us against them, not us divided and being played like fiddles by whichever side of the political spectrum we happen to most agree with.
Open yourself up to some honest debate, Darnell. Don't be a sad puppet of the political establishment. Otherwise I'll have to stop thinking of you as "that adorable troll" and start thinking of you as "that sad, lonely, misguided puppet-troll". And let's face it, that second description is way to long and awkwardly worded.
I've opened myself up JAMES as much as I can without letting you wing nuts have your way. You guys are like jackals for the kill. I prove my points with fact. No one on this blog has shown me an ounce of evidence to prove anything they are arguing. For someone who can't spell I'm doing a pretty good job of making you idiots scramble...
Don't get all upset, Darnell. We're just playing with you. You're such a predictable little puppet.
You are the puppet as your avatar says so...
You can click thumbs down on this 200 times, it doesn't make it not true.
sorry Darnell-I think the founder of the teaparty(all of them) know how to spell! that is a nice try though!
Nice try. The guy in the photo is a founding member of the Tea Party. Like it or not.
