Rockers Renew Radicalism of Woody’s ‘This Land is Your Land’: This land is your land? This land is my land? This land was made for you and me? What about the Native Americans? Was this land not made for them. And who exactly made this land? That smacks of creationism, does it not? Clearly this little ditty is a musical ambassador of theocracy, bigotry, racism, hatred, jingoism, nationalism, sub-amateur songwriting and cloying repetitiveness. We are both shocked and dismayed by these so called “radicals” willingly propagating such non-correct hate think.

I was amazed to hear Arlo Guthrie is now a registered republican and refused to play that song (this land) in public. Do things change er what?
Many people in the first half of the 20th century were attracted to COmmunism. On paper it looks awesome. But now that evryone has seen the outcvome of living in a COmmunist country, and that the paper desciption is far frm the reality, only a dunce would continue to think it was a good idea.
All I needed was to see the number of people who died in the name of socialism in it's various forms to know I wanted nothing to do with it. Well over 100 million dead should say it all.

Yahoo had a story around Thanksgiving talking about Arlo singing some of his father's songs but refusing to include the more socialist/commie verses.
He came out in 2008 as a supporter of Ron Paul and the Tea Party. Good to hear that SOME entertainers DO grow up after while. He became a Republican during GW's time in the White House. Maybe a good thing or maybe the Repub's are just too darn liberal now days!
