Why is this important? I would dodge it too. The draft is draconian in my humble opinion. Most liberals dodge the draft as well, this is not new. Good people dodge it in order to preserve their lives or their livelihood for the sake of their families... Once the idea of the draft emerged that should have been a clue that something was wrong and they needed to rethink strategies.

True, not everyone is cut up for war. I don't agree with all people having to serve in the military that is why I am happy I am not an Israeli, although Israelites have some kind of an ability to kick some serious ass, they must have a serious warrior Guardian on their side... So maybe I would feel differently if I was an Israelite. In any case, getting an education in order to go through another lifestyle and career is nothing to be ashamed of.

Dip$h!t the U.S. military is an entirely voluntary force now, back when there was a draft there were 2 ways to get out of it, one was to enlist and the other was to go to college. So before you start your idiotic rants think about this. Someone volunteered to join the military so that idiots like you have the right to belittle them. Someone volunteered to put his life on the line to fight for the freedoms that we believe in. Someone gave up their life so that tard monkeys like you can come on this site and spread your stupidity. Oh I think the first few weeks would be rough for both the Military and John. But the end result would certainly be an improvement. At least he would be out of his Mother's basement for a couple of years.

In the Air Force they used to "recycle" people that couldn't cut it. They would be sent back weeks into Basic to repeat it.

There was no draft when I came of age, so I dodged it!
Then I purposely dodged any impending draft by enlisting!
However, the headline were I running for President would be that I dodged the draft!
I too am a draft dodger. I joined the Navy (at 17) to dodge the draft. I also got in trouble for not registering for the draft (dodging) until I was 21. They told me, "you could be drafted into the army right now." I said, "Since I have been in Navy for almost 4 years and still am, I dont know how that will work." They didn't like that either.
I graduated in '75, so there wasn't much of a draft going on, but I wanted to join the Navy anyway. Written testing went quite well, but when they took a look at my right leg, things went downhill. I was offered my choice of desk jobs. Told me I was incapable of flying anything or operating heavy equipment. Since then, I've done both, a lot.
Of course, I still have all the respect in the world for those who have served.
I graduated in '77, took the written test and the recruiter held up the brochure with the list of AF jobs and said "take your pick". Only problem was they couldn't guarantee the one I wanted, so I waited till '81 to go in. Had I stayed in, I would have retired last year.
Let me see if I have this right, Clinton loathes the military and wrote it in a letter to a person at his draft board, he gets a pass. barry is hell bent on dismantling the military and he is praised for it. Romney didn’t serve in the military and he is a draft dodger. It was my impression of a draft dodger as one who ran across the Canadian border and burnt their draft card while running. My take is, O won because he wasn't Bush, if Romney wins it's because he's not O, if whoever runs against Romney in 2016 wins, it's because he/she(Hillary) is not Romney. I would love a candidate that wins because that candidate is a great choice to help the American people restore America. I won't hold my breath though.
