It’s not something his liberal critics want to talk about, but Rush Limbaugh is a very generous man. He just donated $500,000 to the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles.
The gift was given in memory of Antonio De la Cruz, M.D., who passed away recently as a result of complications from lymphoma.
Dr. De la Cruz and another House Clinic physician diagnosed Limbaugh with auto-immune inner ear disease (AIED) and eventually performed cochlear implant surgery to restore his hearing.
“Dr. De la Cruz literally saved my career and got me my life back with that surgery,” Limbaugh said. “I wouldn’t have been able to continue my career. For a month before I had the implant surgery, I did my show totally deaf.”
This donation, of course, is on top of the hundreds of thousands of dollars the king of talk gives to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society each year.
So in the end, it turns out that Limbaugh may be deaf, but his critics are the ones who refuse to hear the truth.

Rush has been right on a lot of issues.

Liberal here. I am very happy that Rush donates to charity. I'm sure some people expect me to put something saying that he should donate more, but I don't feel that way. Any amount helps. I have a friend who has survived cancer with the help of LLS, and I am grateful to Rush for helping make that possible.
But I still disagree vehemently with his political views.
I dont dislike Rush although I am not a fan so this is not being said because I hate him or anything...
I had to do a double take on that pic. He looks like Hannibal Lector especially in the way he is standing.

You make absolutely no sense. You denigrate a man and his charitable contribution because "he can spare it"? So? Did you give $500,000? Nope? Did you give 10% of your income? Nope? How about 1%? Nope?
A lib's generosity only extends as far as the pocketbooks of others will reach. Their gratitude has no bounds, because zero is an unbounded number.
Until you're tithing, you have no basis to criticize the generosity of others, and if you were the tithing type, you'd have the class to not criticize anyway.
Tip Top, Wondering what you have done today to help America. Write a bunch of junk on the computer? Get a real life and go do something worth while. Create an opportunity for yourself where you actually matter and make the world better. Slamming Limbaugh's generous donations is just pathetic.

And You know for fact that this is the only charity he contributes to or has ever contributed to. Right?
He contributes the proceeds from his books and his tea company to wounded military children's scholarships. He certainly gives and doesn't brag about it. I wish I could win one of those Ipads he gives out every once in a while to callers. I think Rush is a kind man, he loves this country. I appreciate everything he has done both in charity and educating the public.

Limbaugh is not under any law to give any of his funds to any charity. He gives out of his own compulsion and creed.
