Another day, another liberal warning about the evil conservatives. The Huffington Post highlights hip hop mogul Russell Simmons’ hallucinations:

If we don’t wake up on Tuesday and rush to the polls, by the end of the day, we will find ourselves with an Alice In Wonderland Congress, where up is down and wrong is right, and lies are truth and hating diversity is seen as patriotism. In the new Alice In Wonderland that is today’s Republican Party, Sarah Palin is the Queen of Hearts screaming “Off With Their Heads”; Glenn Beck is the Mad Hatter with all his tears; Rush Limbaugh is the Cheshire Cat, laughing at the madness and loving it.
Unless moderates and progressives quickly put aside their disenchantments and VOTE on Tuesday, we will wake up on Wednesday to newly elected politicians whose meanness, duplicity and downright madness is unique even by the standards of past American moments of extreme right.
Tooooooo late, Russell. Let the madness begin. Feel the madness. Embrace the madness. Luxuriate in the madness. Roll around naked in the madness.

I think it is awesome that he knows who Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck are but I am sure they have no idea who he is and why he is relevant... (why is he relevant?)
I couldn't tell you why Russel Simmons i relevant (heh) but I know who he is and I'm as white as they come. I think there is a good chance beck or palin or both have, at least, a cursory knowledge of the man. I mean heck, at least from seeing Russel Simmon's def comedy Jam on HBO way back when...
I dont know I highly doubt that Sarah Palin would have had the time nor opportunity to know who this guy is and the same for Beck however perhaps he more than her would know. I guess my point is that they dont (probably) know him, nor are they thinking about him nor care about him (even if they do know him). He is not relevant in their lives YET they seem to be a bane to Simmons existence. I find that hilarious.
Yah, I know what your sayin' yo. Just never know.
Speaking of Russel Simmons, I think rap sucks now. I miss the old school stuff.
Word to your mother.
...I thought we had that congress for the past four years? I think Simmons has been eating to many mushrooms...
In the comments for this article on the Huffington Post, someone actually pointed out that none of the people Simmons compared to "Alice in Wonderland" characters are actually running for anything this election. I wish I had thought of that. It suits the paranoid but clueless tone of the piece perfectly.
