see now, as much as my "comrades" would be shocked for me to say this, but if you're gonna be that different, born that way or not, you better love yourself enough not to do something to land your @$$ in the slammer to begin with... LOL!
you'd think the other inmates would be taught to be more respectful of people's differences by the DOC...
Pervert but equal
Simple, use group housing for anyone that identifies as transgendered, whether male or female, because they are between genders. So they are gender neutral.
You will then have housing for males, females, and "other".

Anyone care to venture whats going to happen when they house transgendered males with female inmates and Vice Versa?

Let's see, I can go to jail and be housed in C block with the predatory psychos or I can pretend I'm a woman and get housed on Rainbow block with the 'girls'. I imagine a lot of people will suddenly identify as a woman when getting processed into the jail system in favor of preferential treatment. Which will lead to skyrocketing, though skewed and erroneous, transgender arrest stats. Which will lead to lead to a pissed off transgender community. Which will lead to more protests and allegations of profiling. Which will result in people losing jobs. If you give a mouse a cookie...
and who does the in-processing strip/cavity search on 'Jennie' when she gets arrested? They're gonna need to hire 'female' cops to do this legally.

I would have thought it was somehow discriminatory to arrest transsexuals in the first place.
Also, if Her Majesty self-identifies as President, do we have to give her the keys to the White House?
