Santorum bashes public schools, says they’re stuck in factory era. Santorum is correct in that there is something wrong with the public schools. But what is so wrong about a factory era? Call us quaint, but there is something rather comforting about a nation not having to depend on the kindness of strangers when it comes to meeting the needs of the people.

Well, if we were to return to the factory era, we would have to shut them all down anyway, because the EPA would be measuring the methane gas in the bathrooms!
I'm beginning to think Santorum is going to prevail over Romney because of his combativeness, fearlessness and boldness. Romney is too safe and lukewarm. You get the idea that everything he says is first approved by advisers and consultants. Romney speaks the lines but he's not a good enough actor to convince you he believes them in his heart.
How about a brokered convention ticket of Romney/ Santorum with Newt guaranteed Sec State so we can get on with creaming these people come Nov. I'm at the point where I don't care who we nominate, right now, winning is everything, we'll deal with any foibles later.

For me? T'anx. I was just throwing that out there because it worries me when somebody on my side says if my guy doesn't win I'm taking my ball home and I quit, when after the dust settles the only thing that should matter is beating these people. And you're right, we shouldn't forget about Congress and the state-wides after what happened in '10.
I think that is all irrelevant right now. Our primary focus, IMHO, should be on congressional slots. If you control both houses of congress, you control what the president can do. Even if it is Obama again. (Yes, I know he circumvents congress now, but that will be harder for him with a republican congress.)
Until there is an executive order side stepping the Congress, just like the communist in the WH is doing now. I got a lecture from my son's mother for calling bary a communist. The reply was he is, here is the proof and you need to start believing it. The silence is proof that you are right after laying out all of the facts.
I used to believe that was so. I think BHO, in that circumstance, would push executive authority to the point of daring Congress to impeach him.
It's still true, Kick. And if we have a republican congress, it will be easier to impeach him if he tries to circumvent congress and the Constitution than with a divided congress such as we have now.
I humbly suggest he has already done so. Congress can't seem to unbunch their panties. Also, his re-election is the Republicans to hand 0bama, unfortunately I believe they will. The state level elections of 2010 were greatly overlooked in the scope of conservative successes. Not suggesting that the national level seats that are up is an academic exercise or anything, but we'd better hope to take the senate and maintain the house this time. He will continue his rule by decree process and if he lost both houses maybe, just maybe, they'd actually boot his commie ass off his high horse.

I remember getting a fairly good and rigorous public education up until the sixth grade, then things started getting easier...not because I got any smarter, but because by 1966 education throughout the US went down hill sharply and it hasn't hit rock bottom yet. This roller coaster is a killer!
That is why he is so feared by the teachers unions, the NEA and the so called educators. People need to face the fact that the public schools are not educating, they are indoctrinating.
It's even worse then indoctrination, now these swine are going to tell your kids what their supposed to eat, and when to eat it.
I hope Rick keeps saying stuff like this because it needs to be said. It's also a great issue to go after the libs on because they will defend the failed public school system to no end.
Only rich people get to choose schools for their children and liberal extremists want to keep it that way.
If conservative adults presented this fact to voters then they could make an informed choice at the ballot box - and vote for a candidate that will give them school choice thru a voucher program or something.
Teacher's unions say they're the best, so they won't have an anti-choice argument.
"Choice" is only appropriate when it comes to having a baby or not. At all other times, only the state is qualified to make the proper decisions for your life.
