‘Vigorous’ Santorum crackdown may catch Internet porn viewers with pants down. Guess Rick doesn’t subscribe to that adage about idle hands.

“The Obama Administration has turned a blind eye to those who wish to preserve our culture from the scourge of pornography and has refused to enforce obscenity laws.”
Any other conservative candidate if asked if they would enforce obscenity laws already on the books would answer yes.
This is just another case of the media taking an objective statement and using it to throw down social conservatives.
“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable.”
- George Washington
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
- John Adams

i am conservative, but i am not a "christian right conservative" santorum should be called sanitarium because he is bat-shit insane. you cannot force your personal beliefs and values on anyone, whether you think it's the right thing to do or not. here we go again, another schill running for office who is going to trample on our rights and liberties. who deems what "offensive"? do you see where the problem lies? maybe sanitarium will deem drinking beer on sundays offensive, and ban all alcohol sales on sunday because drinking on sunday is immoral to him and everyone should do what he thinks is right.
Same here, I'm not a "Christian right" conservative. I'm more of a libertarian conservative. Low taxes, free speech, gun rights, small gov't, is what I'm about. Not too worried about the social issues the "religious right" is about. I like much of what they are about, but they go too fat too often, & this might be 1 of those times.
Santorum can have his opinions, but this is not something that he should concentrate on right now. I dislike pornography it is insidious and can create IN WEAK INDIVIDUALS AND IMMATURE CHILDREN great harm as it is addictive in its nature. However, ADULTS who are responsible and do not use this as a alternative to real and adult relationships can watch it if that is what they want to to do. I personally will not get involved with a man that does, but that is my right as a person, but others may not agree and that is fine too. I personally know people that use it as a tool moderately to get passion ignited and then put it aside for a long time until it is needed again. Men are visual creatures, that is a fact it happens. I think that is valid if they are married and want to do that and they are both accountable to one another, who am I to say that is wrong? However, if a person has to hide it even from his wife, there is a problem. I think that if a person in any family gets addicted we should help them, but going on a rampage to ban it will actually be ineffective because as we all know banning something that is damaging to some but not to everyone, doesn't work out (like alcohol for example).
There is a middle ground here for most people and then there are people that are on both extremes. It is called life.
As for Santorum he can have his opinions and he doesn't deserve to be personally maligned for them. However, he shouldn't be concerned about this as a policy that he will enact as President. There are innumerable things that he needs to concern himself with and this is really at the bottom of it all. He will not be President nor even the nominee, so I say he can say whatever he wants to say, I am not going to hate him on that, what I would caution him is that he should be more concerned about the economy and about other matters and let individuals deal with issues like this on their own time.
If this religious zealot is the best we can do, then we are totally screwed.
The Republican crop seems to manifest the fractures in their coalition. I've been amazed that more strong governors didn't step forward to challenge Obama this cycle, but they shied off. Its not like Obama seemed invulnerable in 2011, suggesting that one might wait for 2016 election cycle. What the heck happened?
The GOP & MSM allow themselves to become sidetracked by BS that does'nt matter. Political ADD/ADHD is deadly when Obama could get a 2nd term. Hope we can avoid that.
If porn is his focus, & not our econimic well being, then you are correct. BTW, it will just move out of the country, & that is tax money lost. It is a multi billion dollar industry, that will go offshore. It's almost like unionizing it.
Santorum would've been better off saying that thanks to Obama and porn the only American jobs left are... never mind.
He should change his last name to Sanctimonious.
Look at all those TDs, seems you guys touched a nerve. That or the trolls unionized.
+1
Sure, the damn ship is sinking and this doofus is worried that some of the passengers are jerking off in their staterooms.
Dear Santorum:
Please shut up and go away.
Sincerely,
The Real Conservative Base.
