Wrong. Many of those who were silenced actually worked in secrecy to defeat their repressive government---so they weren't "irrelevant" at all.
It just took some time (and a great deal of work and sacrifice) before others recognized their relevance.

When I refute someone else's post, I choose a few key points to focus on, rather than arguing every little detail in said post. That's a perfecly appropriate way to debate, you know----and much less tedious than disputing thirty-seven points out of one post.
Your accusation that I "wait days before responding" is just silly and petty. Keep in mind that, during these contentious arguments (and most of the threads here that I post on end up being LONG, contentious arguments), about 3/4 of the posts are directed at me. (Hardly surprising, since quite often I'm the only dissenting voice in a sea of groupthink.) I don't have the time or interest to respond to every single post that tries to engage me, and couldn't possibly respond to all of them within one day, even if I wanted to.

Keep in mind that, during these contentious arguments (and most of the threads here that I post on end up being LONG, contentious arguments), about 3/4 of the posts are directed at me. (Hardly surprising, since quite often I'm the only dissenting voice in a sea of groupthink.) I don't have the time or interest to respond to every single post that tries to engage me, and couldn't possibly respond to all of them within one day, even if I wanted to.
And, no, I don't leave threads because I feel I'm "obviously losing." I say what I have to say, correct or repeat it a couple of dozen times for those who insist on trying to spin it, defend myself from a few personal attacks, and then move on. For corn's sake, girl, just how long do you expect me to sit on each thread, after we've all had our say? Aren't 350+ posts enough for you?
And, finally, no, I don't have a mental illness or an irrational need for chaos. I'm simply expressing a viewpoint that you resent, and you're trying to retaliate with personal insults. Let's skip the dramatics and stick with reality, okay?

I agree and I guess we enable her by responding. That is something to consider. No real point in responding anyway. There is no challenge when dealing with a deranged imbecile. It just becomes sad once the entertainment value wears off.
