  • It is my understanding that trash onthe curb is considered public property, hence items can be searched, selected, removed with no penalty. So residents should not be held responsible for the contents separation (or lack thereof) of trash onthe curb.

      • I seem to remember a federal court case about this. Some criminal sued because the feds went though his garbage out on the street and the court said, there is no right to privacy once you put it in the street. It's fair game for dumpster divers and snoopy city workers....The only way to eliminate that is to stand by with the can on your property until the garbage guy gets there and roll it out to the truck yourself...I don't think too many people would be willing to do that.

  • If by chance a person of homelessness were to be stabbed to death on your front lawn by another PoH in a dispute involving a bottle of Thunderbird and you had to dispose of the corpse, would it go in the Recycle Bin or the Edible Garbage Bin?

  • I'm surprised King Barky hasn't signed an executive order mandating this policy nationwide! Then if the Supreme Court takes up the case, and Barky wins, what color will they light up the White House? Or will they just dump trailer loads of trash on the lawn? Or maybe a helicopter drop. ala M*A*S*H?

    • I would be throwing dog poop on top of every thing in each can. I have a 90 pound dog, trust me he can generate poo...And perhaps stick a little flag in the poop that says.."Eat shit and die Garbage police"....
