Second electric car battery fire involving Chevy Volt. “The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Friday that three Volt battery packs were crash-tested last week. In one instance, the battery caught fire afterward, and in another the battery emitted smoke and sparks.” GM blamed goverment officials for “not storing the tested batteries correctly”. It seems, finally, that every last finger has been pointed.

This morning (Tuesday) there was an AP story in the paper that the Gooberment is looking into the fires, and GM proudly announced they would provide a FREE loaner car to any of the 5000 Volt owners if there was a problem. So your death trap needs to be repaired, you get another free death trap to drive around in. Kinda like breaking down in your ford Edsel and they loan you an Pinto. Lets see over 350 million people in this country, only 5000 volts sold. The percentage of the market must be like .000000000001. Another great success from the grand puba himself, Obungles. I mean considering what he "Loaned GM" each of those 5000 volts cost the taxpayers about what, 7,000,000 each?
With apologies to Cheech Marin,
'Up in smoke, that's where my Chevy goes... just one tap, and there that battery blows....When moonbat greenies begin to bother me, I buy a Volt, and watch my cash go up in smoke......
You don't have to buy a Volt to watch your ca$h go up in smoke. The Obama regime made sure of that when they bailed out GM.

Sounds like the perfect vehicle for suicide bombers!

thanks Poppa
Pretty good drb!
LOL...I luv it...took me a minute or two to get it but I got it and luv it!!!
Another one? If this was any other vehicle, their would have already been a massive recall by the NTSB. I'm damn sure not going to buy one of these overpriced firebombs.
With the lack of retail sales, there is not a large enough sample size to determine if a recall is necessary. ;)
Probably catches fire if you look at it the wrong way.
I no longer find any bad news about Chevy Volt shocking.
If this would've been an electric toothbrush , this crappy toothbrush would've been recalled and banned for sale.
Since this is the poster child for fantasy thinkers , it MUST NOT fail , even if it never had a chance in HELL of actually working the way they fantasized .
Wind mills that don't work the way they hoped . At 5 times the actual cost of fossil fuels to produce .... Oh wait a minute , this was about the Volt . Just think , at the actual cost of a good BMW or Mercades , you could spend the same money on a piece of crap , that drives you maybe 50 miles and GOD help you if you get hit . My advise , put 911 in your speed dial , there might be a fire.
More intellectual masterbation from the Libtards.
Ford Pinto, Chevy Volt..Distant auto cousins..parents were brother and sister.
I'd take a Pinto over a Volt any day.
Hells bells, I'd take a Yugo over a Volt any day.
I"ll give the Volt a one-fingered salute.
