Sen. Whitehouse To Introduce ‘Buffett Rule’ Bill To Raise Taxes On Millionaires

Sen. Whitehouse To Introduce ‘Buffett Rule’ Bill To Raise Taxes On Millionaires Personally we’re getting tired of this so-called “Buffet Rule” and all the misnomers that accompany it. If Warren Buffet wants to pay more money than his secretary then he needs to fire his tax lawyer and fill out a W2 like everybody else. If Obama wants to make the rich “pay their fair share” then he needs to push for a ten percent across the board flat tax (or better yet no tax at all) for everyone while simultaneously angling for an end to all the tax payer billions he is funneling to his cronies and constituents. And if there is genuine concern for the hurt the middle class is feeling then the statists over at Think Pogrom need to support a system that doesn’t demand an escalation in our “contribution” brought about by all the tinkering, regulation and trickle down tax hikes that always seems to raise our cost of living almost as much as they raise the fortunes of Dear Leader’s BFF’s.

  • Yeah and when the lying slime in the Senate re-writes this to include anyone making over 200K a year like "Dear Leader" wants, we will see how popular this little faux Pas is.

  • I am about ready for the tax bill that raises only Warren Buffett's taxes just to stop his yammering. It's illegal but fun to think about.

    • Line 47v......... If your surname rhymes with muffet and isn't tuffet and you think rich people are coddled, divide you total earnings by 1 and enter that amount on your check payable to the Internal Revenue Service.

  • I have said many times that Republicans should turn the tables on them and say let;'s make it a Wealth Tax. Not Income Tax.

That means no Steven Spielberg with BILLIONS
That means no George Lucas with BILLIONS
That means no Rockefeller family and it $110,000,000,000.00
That means no Kennedy Family fortune over $1,000,000,000.00
That means no John Kerry Gigolo fortune over $230,000,000.00
That means no Beyonce, JayZ, Barbra Streisand, PuffDaddy etc etc...hell, even Larry O'Donnell is said to be worth about $8,000,000.00

They do NOT need all of that...after all, it's NOT fair....right? So I say Republicans come back with a Wealth Tax and say it should be a sliding scale up to 95%.....

    • On the other hand, it's not like any of these people would actually PAY the taxes if that happened. Not until they got nominated to cabinet posts anyway.

  • D.O.A. as it should be...Hey nobody is stopping all these morons on the left from "giving" their money to the feds, let them write a check for as much as they want if it makes them feel better. I get overtaxed all the time for everything here in the liberal wasteland of Kalifornia, soon to be part of the U.S.S.R. Senator if you want more money, go ask those rich asswipes like Michael More, Buffet, and all the hollyweird types to kick in a whole bunch of money, don't be surprised when they tell you to kiss their ass because they want to keep their money..Oh my God! A conservative Ideal. Heres another thought, if people like you Senator Whorehouse stop funding morons like Solyndra and paying for Obama's trips to the golf course, maybe we could actually balance the budget. hmmmmm the sound of crickets...again
