Hey, no big deal. Sports arenas are all built with taxpayer money. If one gets wiped out, just tax those who have no interest in sports at a higher rate, and build another one, right?
What in the bloody hell is he talking about? Sports arenas are in danger from global warming? Good grief. No wonder the country is going down the tubes.
Why is it that the very stupidest people are the ones we elect to public office?
My theory is that we all vote for "comfort" and stupid people feel most comfortable around other stupid people.
But that means a majority of us are stupid. Which is a very gloomy thing to contemplate.

I posted a response to something like this before- the gist of which is the multiple deception that this is- that presumed climate fluctuations were occurring at such a scale as to render facilities vulnerable- which would call into question the rest of the infrastructure surrounding- the glossing over the fact that in reality if these were so vulnerable then perhaps approval the decisions to build them in these vulnerable locations should be looked at- which itself ignores the fact that so many of these facilities serve as shelters for weather-related evacuees because of their presumed LACK of vulnerability.
If the progs have their way, outdoor hockey will be illegal anyway so what the hell is the problem? Its potential to damage the brittle self esteem of the overprotected cult objects referred to as "children" far outpaces that of that maligned bastion of sporting brutality: dodge ball... but suddenly the sporting butt of the joke "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out" becomes a celebrated cause for bureaucrats who would mandate that we all wear helmets just to tie our own shoes if we let them? Hockey may well prove to be the cash cow that finances vacation homes, yachts, and ivy league tuition for professionals who practice the art of dental reconstruction.
It would be one hell of a storm surge that washes out the home field of the Denver Broncos...

This guy must have been sitting in his dentist's waiting room reading old magazines to come up with this. About 10 years ago Sports Illustrated ran a cover story about global warming. The cover picture depicted a half submerged stadium. I then let my subscription lapse because I was and am still not interested in mixing politics (propaganda) with sports.
I'm having a hard time taking this clown seriously when I'm sitting here in 12 Degree weather in November. Like Jack Nicholson said, "Go sell crazy somewhere else. We're all full up here."
Me thinks the esteemed Senator should be more concerned with the stupidity epidemic sweeping through congress and the senate. The reason they're not doing anything about jobs, or anything to help our country is because there's no money in it for them.
