• The one place in the world where having sweaty feet is an advantage.

  • Actually, that would cause steam, which would be worse!

• Showed up with cold feet and left with coal feet, dd they get a refund

• Couple buddies of mine did that out here on Cape Cod many years ago when on of them was dying of cancer. No burns, and the business about "quick contact" as the reason it's possible is nonsense. The one of them said that after the first time out, they went back and were looking for the hottest bits to just stand on!

• It's been proven many times, it has nothing to do with faith or mental preparation. You have to walk right, and the coals have to be prepared right. Knowing that, I would never try it.

• I believe that if you fall for the line of crap these motivational speakers spew, you deserve everything you get.

• This is snake-handling, plain & simple. The reason you get bit - or in this case, burned - is because you didn't BELIEVE. Insanity. Sorry, but no sympathy here for the 21.

  And as far as the road to success goes, when you do come across a rough, treacherous path, you find an easier way around it. Only an idiot would simply plod through it. If you don't explore easier options, you're going to get burned. Was that the lesson?

  • At lease snake handlers believe they are following scripture. What was the reasoning behind walking on coals? It IS practiced among Hindis, but they do it while in meditation and literally do not get burned or feel the heat. (yes, it can be done, I've seen people who could "wite" on their flesh using only their minds. The skin reddens to make the writing. Later it fades.)
