we have 3 kinds of poisonous snakes in the States one of which is also called "copperhead" and it's got very well developed fangs. wait, maybe 4, yeah, copperheads, rattlers, water moccasins and coral snakes.
our coachwhip, is not venomous, but it is strange in that, so i've been told, they'll pace a person, advancing as a person retreats, and retreating as a person advances, and i understand they're pretty quick.
as for pisonous spiders, well, brown recluse and black widow are the only one's i can think of, well, tarantulas, but they'd only make a man sick, IF they bit him, they're often kept as pets, and even as watch spiders, yep, better at frightening off robbers than dobermans even.
