So THAT’S the problem. The Justice Department has been actively recruiting people with “severe intellectual disabilities.” Seriously. This is not a joke. So maybe all the bizarre and stupid actions of the Justice Department under Eric Holder are not because he hired BAD people… maybe it’s because he hired STUPID people.

Technically she was not disbarred. She is on 'is on court ordered inactive status'. Now, from a lawyer's perspective (I am not one, I just play one on TV...) that would be foolish and self-destructive to do strictly voluntarily. A person can remain active simply by paying their dues, which are not really much, in the scheme of things. Not many lawyers would go to the trouble of actually severing their bar admittance. Normally it is a reaction when the lawyer knows they will be disbarred, but the bar allows them to "save face". And, it is probably something really serious, or they would just get "sanctioned", and then allowed back on regular status after their time is up.
So, it's a safe bet to assume that she was in some deep doo-doo, and was allowed to resign, rather than being disbarred.

Her excuse (and Barack's for that matter) is that they voluntarily gave up their licenses to practice so they souldn't have to pay dues, do continuing education, etc to maintain active status. I am Licensed a nurse. I haven't worked in nursing for 3 years. But my license is active, even if I never go back! They could certainly afford the requirements, so I've always thought that story was a little stinky.
It smells worse than Surströmming. (That's the Scandinavian rotting fermented fish that is packed in cans that sometimes explode. It is so nasty they have to eat it outside!)
NO lawyer would go through what they go through in school, and then take the really stressful bars, and then just let their membership slide away because of dues. The dues are a few hundred dollars a year! And, honestly, I don't think there are any continuing education requirements either. At least there weren't when my parents were alive. And believe me, they stayed members of all of their bar associations (ABA and several states) til the day they died. Unlike some licenses there is no requirement that you work or lose the license (funny, isn't it?).
The idea that anyone would just let this hard-fought membership lapse for a couple of hundred dollars is the stupidest story imaginable. It is a huge fat lie, and any lawyer will tell you that.

How does one get through law school and pass the bar with "severe intellectual disabilities." Not to mention the term is not one I have run across in any publication, nor in my ever lengthening life. How is that defined? It clearly is different that the "mentally challenged" (or whatever is thr\e currnet pc word, who have documentable failures of neurologica and intellectual functioning ( ie low IQ's, severe learing disabilities, diseases like Tourette's. add and adhd etc.)

Biden sat for the bar ages ago. One can feature him being slighly brighter then, so I'll giove him a pass. Since Obama was the Manchurian Candidate, I doubt he ever sat for the bar. He was automatically admitted after leaving (Graduating?) from Harvard Law school.

I am looking at the overall practice. WHo determines who qualifies, and how? I mean I know they can self identify, but are you going to apply for a job, then tell them you aRE A MORON? uNLIKELY. sO HOW DO THEY DEFINE IT?
It says in the article, "self defined." There's a form you fill out to say that you're retar,....er,....um,....special. And there you have it.
And once you self-define as stu... er, suffering from intellectual disability, they move your application to the top of the pile and you get the job ahead of all the smart people. Did you catch that part?

If true I believe it's a planned strategy. If I was Holder and knew all illegal operations I had in mind, I would want only metal midgets, "props" really, minding the store so they would be oblivious to the criminal activity in progress.
