Socialists win absolute majority in France. The media was focused on the Greek sideshow but the more important election was in France. Socialist President Hollande now has free rein to do whatever he wants. Is that gonna leave a mark? Probably: “Mrs Merkel warned the policies of the new Socialist president could destroy the eurozone by bringing the sovereign debt crisis to France itself.” Just call them the PFIIGS.

Look, KQ is right, France has been socialist since WW2 at least, so there really is no real news. However, if the Germans take control again, let me know.
I'm half German and half Sicilian, I should be more than welcome when that happens!

All this rattle reminds me of a 'good' friend I had in Milwaukee for several years. He was born in the 60s at a Stuttgart Army (or whatever) hospital, to a German citizen mother that had married an American serviceman of 100% Italian heritage who was stationed there. They saddled their son with the name Adolph Artuso. At least they didn't spell it Adolf. Most everyone called him Al. I referred to him as Adolf Mussolini whenever possible. I wonder how they're doing?
Turns out, they did spell it with the 'f'.
