Statistics wizard Nate Silver gives his Oscar predictions: Who is Nate Silver? He is the guy that used predictive models to project that Obama would win the 2012 election. We will go out on a limb and affirm that if any of his picks get up to 120 percent of the vote -like Obama did in very strategic areas- they will likely perform as this fellow has suggested. One note of caution however. This is the Oscars and not a Presidential election; the sheeple will be keeping a much closer eye on things.

Just like Silvers election predictions, look for the senseless and mediocre to win.
I guess that's because of who's voting.
Good point, and I wish I'd though of this

I predict that I won't be watching the Oscars, and don't give a flying crap who wins what.
Last time I watched was 1966. I'm closing in on half a century of NOT watching Hollywood congratulate itself.
Same here. Mrs Alien said we had to make sure to watch, and I said "in all our history have I ever sat down and watched the Oscars?" She had to concede I have not. Her folks get into them though
Walking Dead was on. I was unavailable as I am each year at Oscar time.
Give that man a full quiver for his crossbow.
Thread hijack alert: So is Merle reforming or plotting?
waffling, but if I HAD to pick...plotting. curious what other fans think too.
What does Karl Rove have to say? {actually I hope I never hear him again}
Who even watches the smug oscars
I predict the Oscar show will be the same ego-fest it always is.
