It appears that über genius Stephen Hawking has officially lost his mind.
According to our good friends across the pond at The Telegraph UK:
In his latest book, The Grand Design, an extract of which is published in Eureka magazine in The Times, Hawking said: “Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist.”
He added: “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going.”
Got that? Gravity, a force that can only be created by matter, created the matter that then created the gravity that could not have existed before the matter but all the same created the universe. Remember, kids, this is the man that thinks you’re stupid for believing in God.
However, as good science is all about competing theories we’d like to posit one of our own.
Perhaps Dr. Hawking hasn’t really lost his mind. Perhaps all his recent talk of bellicose, time traveling space aliens and a universe created by illogic is merely a ruse. A clever ruse intended to raise the cosmologist’s cachet with the general public and finally get him a shot at appearing on Dancing with the Stars.
Take that, Einstein.

Oh, that and its simply a speculation, that in time will change again. He cant decry or challenge god's law that put him in a wheel chair. It is simply childish. The ecstatic thing is that Krsna is in every atom as witness. As stated in the Brahma Samhita. Have you ever seen anything without a controller? your car? your dogs lead? This is dangerous speculation that leads to an a lawless society. Man proposes and god disposes.
Obviously he has never heard of the Bhagavat Purana (srimad bhagavatam) Bhagavad Gita, or any other eternal classics that deal with Lord Sri Krishna's manifest pastimes on this tiny little atom called earth.

You know, for saying what he thinks, Biden ought to invite Hawking to stand up and be recognized. After all, Biden can do that. I think that it's the proximity to the liberal messiah that does it.

I don't know whether this is true or not, but I heard anecdotaly once that Einstein was an atheist but actually started believing in God later in his life. Science made him realize that God indeed does exist, hence his comment that he would "like to know God's thoughts, the rest are details".

for you who don't want to acknowledge Him, Christians are the best allies you could have as they are trustworthy - because they are called to integrity by their faith. Even though you may want to deny it, the good book states that
"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn" - proverbs 29:2 .
there are absolutes and there is absolute truth.
"the fool said in his heart, there is no god" proverbs14:1 (that was written over 2500 years ago. think about it.
It is the same story everywhere Wes. My Mother tells me (she was in Iraq) that Saddam kept a large staff (obviously) BUT a great number of them were the minority... Christians. Why? Saddam did not trust Muslims serving him food, etc not even from his own sect.
I do not have a citation unfortunately however if I remember correctly a couple of years ago there was study that showed that people who work who are practicing Christians tend to be more honest in their work, take less time off, do not lie and do not steal from their companies (go figure). There are practical reasons for benevolent religions to prosper within the borders of a country. Those who do not belief in a Higher Power, but who see the truth of the matter would attest to that, even begrudingly (sp?)
