Student who refused to stomp Jesus brought up on academic charges. This is a college with schizophrenia. First they supported the class exercise, then they apologized for it and said nobody was suspended, now they’ve accused him of a long list of violations and told him:
“In the interim, you may not attend class or contact any of the students involved in this matter – verbally or electronically – or by any other means. Please be advised that a Student Affairs hold may be placed on your records until final disposition of the complaint.”

This whole exercise was disgusting from the moment the professor was hired to the moment the student was suspended. He is allowed back and they apologized or whatever, but this should have never happened. I don't know what kind of world we are living in where this is allowed and if the young man HADN'T gone to the media his life would have practically screwed... think of the very many people out there that perhaps due to shyness or fear do not speak out and accept unfair and unjust punishments when they stand up for their faith.

I am so freaking curious about WHY. You know that academics will never back down over liberal beliefs unless they are financially pressured. The only thing more important than their commiecrat values is cold hard cash. So I would bet you a dozen Krispy Kremes that someone rich and powerful said "fix it or our check will never reach you".

If I was the young lad's lawyer, my advice would be to sue for violation of constitutional rights to freedom of religion. I would offer to settle out of court if I could in public pee and dedicate on a very large picture of this idiot "professor". Otherwise, i'd sue for a gajillion dollars in pain amd suffering. If they agreed, I'd send out notices to every conservative group to drum up a crowd and notify every media in the world to come and watch. I'd make sure an internet video was made and loaded on the net After such a humiliating demo, perhaps, just perhaps, the next jackass teacher thinking such perverse thoughts might control their commie impulses.

Bullshit, just being IN the classroom means you're participating in what's going on in there.
And that places a huge amount of peer pressure to participate, No one wants to be odd man out.

Man, I wish they'd make up their minds. And I love it when the spokesman says he can't comment on the student's status directly, nor can he comment on the professor's status because that's an employment matter. So WTF good is he as a spokesman? Why even have a spokesman? The janitor could say, "No comment."
But no one wants the title or the money to be janitor. THey want a fancy title and the salary that goes with it. No wonder Tuition cost have skyricketed. Its the only way they fan fund boobs like this one.
The Boca campus is just down the street and around the corner from where I went to school, and where my mom still lives.
It used to be a big IBM area, conservative and fairly affluent.
