• Anxiety. Drugs for anxiety.

  This isn't even a mental illness like schizophrenia.

  This is just people who can't f*cking cowboy up.

  • Before they figured out I needed a pacemaker one of my doctors claimed I was having panic attacks and prescribed me some anxiety shit I never took and returned with the advice that I wasn't having panic attacks trying to walk 1/8 of a mile to the store and getting about 200 feet before I almost collapsed. If I didn't panic when I found out I had lung cancer i seriously doubt much of anything else is going to cause that reaction.

• Too many people comit suicide and a fair amount use a gun to do,it. A very small proportion of them decide to kill a few other people before they kill themselves. The left treats these suicide outliers as a separate phenomena that needs to be addressed with stricter and stupider gun laws. Because of that they'll never solve the problem, which kind of is their modus operandi.

• So... a prolonged use of un-natural chemicals that are specifically made to change your natural brain chemicals can cause un-natural behaviors that are detrimental to you or others?

• I've always wondered how so many of those "wacko with an assault rifle" multiple murder media events have been so perfectly timed politically. Now we know.

  • In every instance these mass killers have some kind of problem, all a person would have to do is increase or decrease the meds...perhaps talk about how the world is against them, and send them out the door..and poof! Instant killer...And everyone of of them has been a liberal wacko in the last few years. I think we can truly say that Liberalism is a serious mental illness...I know I sound like a conspiracy nut..but I would not put it past this administration to screw with some seriously ill people to further the gun control cause.

    • If I recall correctly, you stated previously that you were a police officer. I can imagine as a police officer you probably have come across people with mental illnesses. What do you think is the solution for people with mental illness?

      • Simple, treat them, provide them with care that they need instead of trying to mainstream these people with no supervision. For years now we refuse to put all but criminally insane in institutions, but there are many people who can not function in society. They get promised the world, and get the shaft, they are not supervised, family members promise to take care of the mentally ill and then get tired of it an split. Ever wonder where all the homeless come from? They are not out of work people, they are alcoholics, drug abuser and a great majority are mentally ill.

        I have spent countless hours trying to get help for some of these people, sometimes they have committed a crime, in order to get them a bed, food and a shower they get arrested.

        It really sucks the way our society disposes of these folks. Yea it sucks to be in a mental hospital, but it beats the hell out of living under a tree in feces stained clothing, with no money, no food, and no medication because another mentally ill person stole it.

        Mental health workers just as often as not turn down people who come to county run facilities for help. They don't want to deal with it, or they just turn their back and let them walk out the door.

        Instead of spending money on some of the dumbest shit in the world (the U.N. extortion for example) Put the money into a mental health system so the worst of the worst can have a somewhat normal life.

        By the way, a large number of these folks are out in the streets so long, they finally completely go insane, they kill, they fight, they rape other mentally ill and all kinds of other unspeakable acts.

        You take those to trial and the defense attorney's will rip these victim's apart, if they even get to trail. Most of the time the suspect goes to "Crazy Court" (1368 California government code) for a sanity hearing. They are found unable to stand trial, get sent to a mental health facility, treated, make some progress and then get released and it starts all over again.

        I spend a good part of my day with crimes related to mentally ill, yet it is the thing NO ONE wants to talk about or confront. Plus I have investigated a couple dozen homeless "deaths"..The county buries you, cardboard coffin and little grave marker in the pauper's cemetery.

        Short version of the problem. The answer (which will make liberals and all the do gooders scream) put the people that need in in institutions, give them a purpose, give them treatment and a chance at some kind of a life instead of ending up dead under a bridge. Their only crime, being mentally ill and no one gives a shit.

        I get a kick out of the idiots that run the state of Kalifornia, they come up with new programs for the homeless, but they never, NEVER address the real problems. They smile, look good for the cameras and then completely forget about these people. All shit and no bull.

        But what the hell do I know, I just have to go scrape up what is left when society forgets about these people. Out of sight under a bridge, and out of mind.

        Sorry for the long ass rant, but this is one of the things that makes me angry...

        • There is a beachfront town in NJ that has fallen on hard times. Because of racial rioting and the fear it instilled on the folks, it no longer was a desirable destination. When the motels stopped getting visitors, the state decided it was less expensive to dump homeless, welfare cases, and mentally disturbed there. It was like an episode of the walking dead. Mental patients doing the thorazine shuffle, methadone patients, wild eyed and talking to themselves, druggies looking to rob you to score more drugs. The only ones that benefitted were the motels with increased rentals, and the city with increased tax revenues.
          Now, when the real estate prices were depressed enough, the gay mafia came from New York and bought everything they could and are trying to turn it into San Francisco.

        • I completely agree with what you have to say. I would think this issue is something both sides can easily agree on but as you mention lots of people running the state of California aren't addressing the real problem.

        • Until the legislators come face to face with it, they won't do a thing. They just set up a designated driver program for drunken legislators though, they can get a state paid driver to take them home when they get loaded instead of getting a DUI. They care only about themselves and their privilege. And yet people think we are the bad guys....

        • There was a homeless guy where I used to work for years. We'd buy him clothes, winter jackets, tents, sleeping bags, food, give him money. He was schizophrenic, heard voices, talked to them, he was actually a real nice guy once you got by the scary look and the dirty clothes. He claims he used to be an attorney, but who knows? Thank God for the Hayward, PD. They'd pick him up and keep him a few days so he could get some food and get cleaned up. Like Not so Silent says, then it's back to SSDD.

        • I have bought them food, driven them to the shelter, but that place is worse than hell..Imagine a room with 100 guys who have not seen a shower in a month. They get angry and get kicked out, how anyone could sleep in that place is beyond me.

          IT really is hell on earth for these folks. and nobody wants to talk about it. You see people drop off money to the ones on the off ramp, most of those are scammers, many of them make hundreds of dollars per day. They get a citation for that, if they got the money, they can pay.

          Stopped an old (*claimed she was gypsy) woman on a traffic island, said she had to leave, she got all pissed, when I left I watched her go right back, went back, told her again to leave, she got even more pissed,and told me to have intercourse with myself. That got her a ticket, (For standing in the roadway/not yelling at me).

          While I am writing the ticket, a lady pulls up (demotard bumper sticker on her car) and says she bought the old lady a meal. I told her it was a scam, and then showed the hamburger lady the 700 plus dollars granny had collected. Ms. Liberal drove off in a huff. The old lady said she was a gypsy and was gonna put a curse on me, I told her my great, great, great Grandfather was George Custer and it "give it your best shot"...(no relation to Custer but it was funny) and I drove off, my arms did not fall off, house burn down, or anything else.
          Point is there are a lot of these scams artists on the street too...

        • I like the scammers....they mostly have Will Work for Food or something on that order. Tell them you have a stinky sweaty job for them like digging ditches and watch them either run or immediately become disabled.

          I walk by true homeless people with problems now and then and they don't ever ask for one damn thing. Those are the one's I'll pop a $20.

          There's an elderly lady the branch manager at my bank lets sit inside when it's too hot or too cold out. She refuses help, the manager has tried to get her a counselor with the county and she's so prideful she refuses it. She stays in a cheap hotel until her money runs out then she roughs it outside.

          She has developing Alzheimer's or some sort of dementia, but she's a very nice polite old lady.

          She won't take money straight out, but I found if I tell her I found it by her cart she leaves outside and it must have fallen out and it's her's then she'll take it, and always with a thanks.
