I have a good friend who is a Baptist pastor in Gothenberg, Sweden. The state church in that country is the dominant one and it is apostate in every sense of the word. Sweden is a tough place to be Christian - burned out with false religion for a long time, with most folks being told they are doing just fine as they follow their sinful hearts' desires straight to hell.
So the dude wants churches... to become mosques? This dude needs to know than in a muslim world he will be a slave or dead.

To be entirely fair -- and I'm going out on a limb here -- (s)he is proposing this for only one church, a seamans' mission which can expect to have visits from sailors from all over the world, including Mohammedans. However, even the director of the Mission opposes the idea. In other words, it's a Christian mission, period. If you want an interfaith chapel, build your own.

but, i can understand the gesture toward peaceful co-existence. and leading by example is a great and worthy deed, esp in the priestly vocations. it's just that hasn't played out on the world stage too awesomely yet. and folks are getting a little, oh, i dunno, anxious??

There truly is no way to explain the ignorance of the left. They just don't get it.
