Syrian Refugees Arrive in New Orleans: It is now clear that Obama is intent on finishing what Katrina started. We can only hope that, given how fond they are of their guns down there, that if the barbarians attack they will find that people of this great American city are ready for them.

Personally, I had not heard 10k to New Orleans. Incidentally, why is Catholic charities involved? Isn't it part and parcel of Islamto do charitable works? Why isn't some Muslim charity.helping their iwn? Will these refugees accept help from a Christian organization? Or are these 2 families Syrian Christians? Inquiring minds xxx want to know!
IDK, about why Catholic Charities would be involved with that, but I do know the Catholic Church was involved in trying to get Catholics out of Cube back in the late 60's early 70's. So perhaps their interest is in getting the Catholics out as Syria does have a fair number of Catholics. (appox 2% I heard somewhere)

Catholic Charities is active in San Antonio,working with refugees from Indonesia, Africa, Mexico, Central America, and others. My issue is that Islam demands charitable giving and works, but I never here a Muslim based charity helping anyone, even their own.
That was my thing too, I just didn't say it well; they demand and take but like you I've yet to see a so-called Muslim charity GIVE back anything here. My problem is with the Catholic Church and others that take in massive federal 'grants' and perpetuate this BS. They're making money.
I don't know hat they b are making much profit. They certainly giveva LOT of money for a year or more to refugees, just to.live on. Not sure if the also pay for job training, college,or other large ticket items. I just think.Muslim charities should step.up. No Muslim charity is offering any hep for refugees, Arab countries are not taking any refugees for resettlement. That's one reason this feels more like an invasion than a refugee issue.

Yeah, great. We all know how much good a "strongly worded letter" does. It's a joke. How about action instead of letters? Here in Michigan Governor Snyder has halted the settlement of Syrian refugees until the feds convince him they're vetted. That's at least a little better, although I suspect it's window dressing and Snyder will say, "Okay, I'm convinced," in about ten seconds.
How do you "vet" a refugee? ASK him if he's a jihadist?
Only 2 ways I can think of.
1. Take them to a veterinarian and have them neutered.
2. Take them to a military base and let the vets carefully check them out. (neuter them with a rusty tree lopper.

This is a great idea. CauseNew Orleans doesn't ave enough trouble already. No jobs, still a housing crisis, high crime, people sitting around since Katrina with their hands out for more and more and more. Yeah, great idea.
