The bad news: You’re going to die. The good news: It will be quick and relatively painless.
Well, at least that’s what the scientists latest settled science is telling us. Interestingly enough, this news comes from the Sun UK:
A STAR primed to explode in a blast that could wipe out the Earth was revealed by astronomers yesterday. It will self-destruct in an explosion called a supernova with the force of 20 billion billion billion megatons of TNT.
New studies show the star, called T Pyxidis, is much closer than previously thought at 3,260 light-years away – a short hop in galactic terms.
So there you have it. The science is settled. At least until a new, new study comes out showing that the old study was wrong and that the star is really farther away and not really going to bake Earth like a potato in a microwave.
By the way, why is it that every time you see the word “new” in front of the word “study”, you know it’s going to be bad news?
