Target: Hack may have hit 40 million accounts. So, while the NSA was tracking little Johnny’s phone conversation with grandma, hackers stole 40 million accounts from Target. We have to ask why doesn’t the NSA re-focus on cyber crime instead of usurping the 4th amendment?

It is focusing on Cyber. Since 2005 it has been pivoting toward cyber. Navy created a new rating, Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN) JUST for Cyber. Now, its not focused on Cyber Crime, per se, as that is an FBI thing. It is focused on Cyber Attack, Defense and Exploitation (Computer Network Operations or CNO) from overseas. Navy also realigned its fleets to have one fleet (10th) focused on Information Dominance/Cyber warfare. We have our own warfare pin and everything (laugh all you want NavyVet, I worked my ass off for my EIDWS pin).
Then find out who did it and put crypto lock on their computer...lol, instant karma.
