Taxpayers aren’t stationary targets: Raising tax rates in a struggling economy will help assure that the economy keeps struggling. Yeah, but to politicians it’s not about results, it’s about throwing red meat to the hungry leftist wolverines in order to retain popularity and power. The more I read about the government that Jesus Christ promises to give us, the more I want it. It is COMPLETELY opposite, absolutely opposite to the governments of this world. It is too bad that the USA didnt last a thousand years at least.
For democrats and their leftist drivers, it's all about control and power. They look at each situation and figure out how best to get more control and more power. If you start with this as their motivating factor, all these crazy schemes they forward make better sense.
More tax money is not to fix the deficit (although that is the propaganda we are fed), it is to advance spending on their special interests - government programs, EPA, DOE, education, grants, freebies, etc. which advances and solidifies their power. The more money that goes into DC, the easier it is to funnel enough to their operatives, in the typical massive budget bills, to maintain their power relationship. Smaller spending levels would make these appropriations easier to track and possible stop.
Solving problems is only important if it advances their goals.
Money will always go where it's treated best, & those with the means to get around the immoral & moronic socialist tax rates will do so.
