Taxpayers aren’t stationary targets: Raising tax rates in a struggling economy will help assure that the economy keeps struggling. Yeah, but to politicians it’s not about results, it’s about throwing red meat to the hungry leftist wolverines in order to retain popularity and power. Consider this: “It’s far easier to join the witch hunt than to explain the solar eclipse to a bunch of raving, fear-stricken maniacs.”

After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages.
