• There isn't a hell of a lot of difference between the top 10 and the next 500. The only reason number 500 isn't number 1 is most likely due to lack of opportunity, not any ethics.

• Also no surprise that Ron Paul is not on that list.

  • If the poll was about who has the dumbest followers, it would be Obama 1, Ron Paul 2, & he can be as dishonest as the next politician on the list. At least where spending is concerned, he loves his pork. He also has very little to show for 2 decades on Capital Hill outside of a following of borderline retarded fanatics.

  • Have you completely forgotten that Ron Paul double dipped on his travel expenses for years? Hell, what am I saying, he double dipped on his travel expenses for DECADES! Add that to his suddenly un-claiming authorship of his racist newsletters once he wanted to run for president, and what you have is a typical lying corrupt politician with delusions of grandeur and probably early-onset dementia.

  ...I can't really argue, except that Chief Justice John Roberts should have been listed.

  • Interesting that you chose Roberts. His is the soft-headed sort of Washington vice: the vice of wanting to be liked and gradually becoming corrupted to the point where you're willing to do ANYTHING to continue getting invited to the best parties and social events. Apparently he and his wife are great socializers and he's been completely swept up by his own lust for social acceptance. He was probably an outcast/nerd in high school and never got over being an outsider and not part of the in crowd.

    • Wow... That is very interesting assesment. I think it was Bush that got him the position right? Bush in my opinion failed miserably on this choice.

      • Bush was just a little more conservative than McCain. In a word, worthless.

    • Probably right. I think Roberts was focusd on politics over the constitutionality of Obamacare, & he looked for an out. He did find by ruling on it a s a tax, which it is. But looked past the fact this bill started in the Senate, when it is supposed to start in the House, as the constitution mandates. For a guy as sharp as Roberts has been, that was a shocking result for the nation.

      • They should have stated that it is a tax and improperly created and gotten rid of it. The only thing that I agree with him about was when he stated that the people get the government they choose or that there are outcomes that come out of the government that people choose, meaning of course that when you choose a bad representative you get bad policies and you have to deal with it. Strong and perhaps mean but truthful...

• Wait... wait... wait... there are corrupt people in Washington? There is such a thing as a corrupt politician? Doing CORRUPT things? and one of them is the... PRESIDENT! :-o I am shocked! So shocked! Soooo shocked, I am so shocked I cannot believe it, because I am shocked.... so shocked... shocked I tell you!

  • They should put up a sign. "Corruption-Free-Zone," with the pretty little red circles with the slash. Then there would be no corruption in D.C.

  • Actually (now that you mention it), he accounts for six of the eleven names listed: Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, UN Ambassador Susan Rice, Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, and himself. Shoot, without the Obama administration, the top-10 corruption list would look entirely different... and don't think Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and Charlie Rangel aren't grateful.

• It would have been nice if they had listed them in order of corruption instead of alphabetically, it would have been nice to see Obama and Holder at the top of the list.

  • I agree. I was thinking the same thing it was too convenient that the first person is a republican due to alphabetical order. When you read it you can make the case that it is preferable to read it from whom did the worst to the least.

• What a fine and wonderful list of corrupt individuals! Our forefathers wouldn't recognize this country anymore and it's truly heartbreaking to see the elected officials working for themselves instead of the country. SHAME ON THEM!!!!

  • I am sure there were corrupt people back in the day, however, I think that the difference is that the framework was in place to get rid of those who corruption truly made great disservice to the people. That was in the form of freedom of speech and the press. Considering the press is also corrupt it makes perfect sense that to a person back then it would be inconceivable that someone like Barnie Frank or Rangel or even Paul who DID NOTHING for all of his years in Congress that they would be in office for SO LONG. In addition, and sad to say as a whole people are sheep and uniformed but that also goes back to the press.

• I would include the entire Democrat Party on that list, in my estimate they're all criminals conspiring to ruin this nation.

  • So are all but 8 GOP Senators or they wouldn't have voted for the tax increase last night.

    • 2 of the 8 were Democrats believe it or not. The all know the House won't pass this turd anyway. This way they can look like they're working with Obama without actually doing it.

      • You don't think the House will pass this? They may amend it but I'm afraid it will pass before the new Congress is sworn in on Thursday.
