Ten things evil capitalists really think

Daniel Hannan tries to explain to some occupados what capitalists really think (as opposed to what the overpaid tenured academics who taught them think we think. Yeah, good luck with that.

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. • You cant deprogram them, they choose not to believe the truth. I linked an article about Planned Parenthood to my fb page, the two responses I got to it where classic duck and cover, or bury head in sand, responses.

Sad sad people they are, but in the end they have only themselves to blame. Which is why they still blame Bush, ;)

      • I found out about a party being held next week to benefit a friend who had been hit by a car while riding his bicycle. His face got rearranged quite a bit, and he has no insurance to pay to get it put back where it belongs. So a group of friends are getting together, some bands, some runway models, other entertainers, to raise money to help him out. Otherwise known as charity.

I'll be taking Vlad, my giant rocking unicorn, and giving rides for donations, all of which will go towards the benefit. I don't have a lot of money, so I give of myself to help out.

One person commented on the FB page promoting the event that if the guy hadn't made the decision to ride his bicycle in an unsafe manner, (no, we don't know that he did anything out of the ordinary), he wouldn't be in this position, and we shouldn't all run out to help him out. Most of the friends in this group are liberals, so another person felt perfectly safe with saying that was awfully right-wing of him to think that way.

So I just HAD to mention the disparity in charitable giving between right and left wingers, and of course, the fact that that I, (not at all a left-wing kind of guy), would be there doing my part also. Haven't heard back from her yet.

        • I think that's their favorite fallacy. Since most of them are so abusive to people that admit being conservative, they have absolutely no idea how a true conservative would handle these situations. Stunning, really.

  • Too bad Hannan isn't eligible to run for President here!
That article is the best explaination as to why capitalism works and socialism has been a dismal failure every time it is tried.

  • Excellent article Mr. Hannan wrote.

Good luck getting the unwashed to believe that. They are not and never have been interested in dialog. 99% of libs are either fools or tools, and the remaining 1% are megalomaniacs that have enlisted a bunch of tools and fools to enrich themselves.
