• Heard them talking about this on Beck a few weeks ago, or at least the bare-bones story that Texas was bringing its physical gold reserves back into the state -- they had been keeping them in NEW YORK banks!

• another first for Texas, I am really starting to look hard at that state, if it ever starts secession movement, I will move there and let the progressive movement of parasites feed off each other until the inevitable implosion destroys whats left of the United States under the command of the closet muslim.

  • The movement and desire to secede from the union is very real in Texas. The federal government won't allow that to happen, but the dream is alive.

    • I was always under the impression that because of the way Texas was set up, and was admitted into the Union, that they had the right to leave if they so chose. Upon further research, I cannot find a clear answer, but did discover that Texas has the right to split up into 5 different states if it so chose. That would be quite the cause for concern in Washington, if suddenly there were 8 more senators from Texas, not to mention the increase of congresscritters, which should be possible based on the area they cover.

      • Yes, that IS true about splitting up (as you say, the idea was that there would be four more Southern/slave states with 8 new senators -- reps would remain the same, since they're based on population, which wouldn't change -- to counter Northern strength), but those who have examined the matter seriously believe that any such covenants were broken when Texas seceded the first time, and that re-admission to the Union would have been as an entirely new agreement. The same would be true of a right to secede, had it existed explicitly, but to the best of my knowledge, no firm evidence has ever been found which supported this claim.

    • Another thumb-down? You're on a roll. The problem is with all the people moving there because that's where the jobs are, they bring their voting patterns with them. And 10-15 years later wonder why everything is all F-ed up again.

  • I have to thank G-D that I am in the right state everyday LOL (althought it is not perfect, there are still a lot of fools out there)
