  • If this is the quality of people we have in D.C. working against the Democrats trying to destroy the country, I think we just might be doomed.

  • That heinous tune brings back bad memories of the last time we had a loser for president in the Oval Office.

  • Nice voice, but that might be the dorkiest music video in the history of the world. Even Lawrence Welk would scoff.

  • If I ever hear that song again (sometimes my wife listens to easy music stations) I won't be able to listen without laughing so hard I will cry.....

Now on the serious side, this guy (Cochran) has the signs of dementia. Before she passed away years ago my mother starting talking about eating gophers during the depression and that one of her neighbors, (long dead) was coming to shoot her eyes out, and she would drink salad dressing when we took her out to eat...There is lot of others holding your hand under a facet and forgetting the glass you were trying to fill... This guy reminds me of her, at some point you gotta take away the car keys, and keep them secured....and we have a number in congress who need to be secured in a facility. This guy is one..

By the way My dad told me years ago during the depression they often dined on "Hoover Hogs" which were jackrabbits.....but never gophers, they were too stringy and have no real meat and they taste like shit, at least according to dad. He also taught me a lesson about hunting, you NEVER shoot what you don't intend to eat. I can vouch for the fact that a crow tastes like shit.....

    • BTW, one of the primary signs of dementia is the inability to remember what you were just told 30 or more seconds ago.
EVERY morning I go through the same routine with my father in law. He asks me "Is momma at work already?" at least 3 times in 5 minutes, then he asks "So, what do you have planned for today?" and wants to know "Are you working on that hotel again today?" which is the only job I did that he remembers, because I brought him to work with me for a couple of months when I was remodeling a motel, and I was afraid to leave him home alone at the time, because he had a habit of going for walks and getting lost.
We go through this several times every morning, because he can't remember that he just asked me these things.
I am not looking forward to the progression of this disease, because I have friends who went through this with family members in the past few years, and it is very sad to watch.

    • Errrm... I think you can make a valid distinction between what you INTEND to eat and what you actually DO eat.

      • Dad's life lesson....to make sure I didn't just go around shooting things for fun....

    • I know how to catch gophers if you're interested. No shooting required. An old timer who lived next door told me this a long time ago and I assumed he was pulling my leg, as he was wont to do, but one day, having nothing to do, I tried it. Just as I was saying to my brother, "This might be the stupidest thing I've even done," BAM! I had a gopher on my hands. I don't know who was more scared and startled, me or the gopher.
