The best and worst Playboy Magazine covers of all time

Best and worst Playboy Magazine covers of all time. Showing the deterioration in manly standards between December 1953 and November 2009. Hopefully, they stop publishing before Hillary makes the cover.

  • Ah, Playboy. The memories of when I was a kid and it only cost a buck. A Greek guy that owned a little store would sell it to me if I said I was buying it for my older brother. He was either stupid or didn't give a damn and I think it was the latter but I still thought I was slick.

I can't remember the last time I bought one though, maybe '93 or '94 and I have to agree with what the one exec said, it was rendered pretty much obsolete by internet porn. Shoot, even a Google image search with safe search off turns up about any picture you want. Um, or so I've heard, it's not as though I ever check any out.

Excuse me, I need to go shave the palms of my hands.

    • When I was about ten, a friend and I decided to steal from an A&P grocery store. We both grabbed a candy bar and ran for the door. The manager saw us and gave chase, scaring the living hell out of us. We ran behind the store and into a big open field -- I grew up in a rural area -- but the manager was persistent and he was a grown man, while we were kids. It was nip and tuck. We ended up escaping but we were both so scared we couldn't eat the candy bars, and ended up hiding under a big pile of rocks, where there was kind of a cave. As we were sitting there in the cave, panting and thanking God for our escape, and promising Him that we would never steal anything ever again, we looked down and there was a little pile of Playboy Magazines. Apparently that little cave was someone's porn hideout. To this day, I'm amazed at how the devil made a double move on us that day. And the double move failed because the A&P manager scared us straight for life and at ten years old the Playboys simply held no interest. Ha. Take that, devil.

  • Porno mags are being killed by the "point & click" culture we now live in. Just like music, & local/major retailers that don't offer what you want that send you to Amazon.

    • Playboy did this to themselves. They started an online service that offers much more than a print magazine, for much less money.
I don't subscribe to it, but keep getting junk email offering me complete site access for less than $3 a month, which includes archives of every pictorial ever in the magazine, and new content, including videos, cyber girls, amateurs, etc. Why would anyone buy the magazine?

  • If they don't stop publishing before getting around to a Hillary spread, they will soon thereafter.

  • If this is true, I wonder if they plan to do the same for every international edition. Otherwise I'm sure they will still print nudes in Hungarian Playboy, which I'd still read for the articles.

  • They are trying to increase their Islamic Readership, soon the centerfolds will be goats in reveling poses.
