The city of Bel Aire, Kansas must not have liked its plan… “…city’s 30+ employees have just received notice that because of the Affordable Care Act, their current insurance will no longer be available.” Rates doubling, part-timers dropped, yada, yada, yada. Another ObamaCare success story. As the Edsal book once asked, “What’s the matter with Kansas?” A: ObamaCare!

Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Cured morbid fear of heights when I learned to look at them as lengths standing on end. Uncompromising in refusal to accept browser cookies. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • Another obammerCare success story.....and rest assured, no mention of it will be seen in the lame-stream media.

  • Is there nobody working for the city at Bel Aire that knows how to fill out an exemption form? Or are they not unionized?

  • It's OK, Obama will fix everything.
Need insurance? "Free" Obamacare will only cost you 2-3x what you were paying before.
Can't afford it? No problem, they give subsidies. Where the money comes from, nobody has figured out yet, but I'm betting it will be "the rich".
High deductibles won't matter, your subsidies are there to allow you to save up to pay the deductibles.

How much are the insurance companies kicking back to Obama?
