• As bad as Bloomberg is, as much of an elitist tool he is, people will be begging for more of him after Bill De Blasio, aka Warren Wilhelm, begins his communist takeover of NYC. Some of the tax base will leave, crime will go through the roof, & the downward spiral will be in motion. For all of Bloomberg idiocy, at least he is a competent person. De Blasio on the other hand, is not all that impressive...

  • I gues I am stupid. I never was aware that Bloomberg was not a Democrat until this guy was elected as the first Dem Mayor in 20 years or somethng. Is Bloomers trying to say he is a Republican? Who'd a thought?

• Here something doucheberg didn't bother to ban for himself. He has a very large number of armed body guards. Most are retired or hired away from NYPD. So his ass can exercise his second amendment right by hiring a security detail. Yet we the little people who can only afford to purchase and buy our own firearms and learn to use them must be denied that right.

  Here is hoping that he soon gets the helmsley treatment and finds himself sitting in one of the finer federal run establishments that issues its own line of clothing.

      • Actually, he's a smartass. Travel *does* produce climate change. When he was in the Caribbean, the climate was warm, and it changes when he got to the East Coast.

  • It's a Global Warming thing. The idea is that a black roof absorbs sunlight thereby increasing the load on your air conditioning. Somehow I doubt they have adequately weighed the pros and cons. If you have an attic space with ventilation, for instance, the black roof will actually create more updraft to keep the lower floors cool and perhaps allow you to avoid using the air conditioning at all, and in the winter the black roof actually reduces energy usage, so... in the end, let's face it, anything related to Global Warming is 99% bullshit.

    • part of this effect is readily noticeable in phoenix, when you walk on a blacktop road at 10PM and its still hot hours after the sun's gone down. You can feel the heat in your hands just walking (i.e. more heat then is reaching your face). I used to go running at night, and when I'd reach a grassy park, a sudden chill would come over me

  • You know, I can't get on the Bloomberg hate wagon. This in NYC we're talking about after all. Perhaps the most congested, miserable, left wing city on the east coast. You want to live there and be taxed, told when to eat, what to eat, where to do this or that? Fine. Enjoy paying 12 dollars for your beer? Enjoy crowds and lines and noise. Did I mention noise? Manhattan is the most miserable shithole I've ever visited in my life. Anyone who chooses to live there deserves the misery this man placed upon them. Sorry in advance to any IHTM NYCers out there, but i have no love for the place.
