Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages.   • Poor, poor Obama. What rotton luck. First, the American people remained annoyingly against his gun-control power play, no matter how much spin he and his media butt-kissers applied. I mean, what's up with that? He had the grieving Newtown families, Giffords, a new law in CT - a beautiful propaganda effort. Then a handful of traitorous senate dems abandoned him and gun control dies. Now this damn terrorist pair come along and reinforce the idea that it would be a good idea, after all, to have your own guns to propect yourself from such scum. And the videos from the police confronting theses terrorists showed that you better be well armed, a measly 7-clip magazine no match for the rounds used by these bad guys. All that exquisitely built up propaganda effort - wasted!

    And the nerve of those damn local cops and feds! Taking all the credit and leaving none for him. And as if all that wasn't bad enough, he'll now have to take a break from his non-stop golf + propaganda campaigns and actually work on security issues.

    The best laid plans of mice and communists often go astray.

  • This past week events is a direct result of not calling terrorist, terrorist. It's a direct result of PC bull shit and nothing more. It's time to throw the gloves off and go bare knuckle with those who wish to do harm to all of us.

    The 1st place to start is by stopping the pos legislation being shoved through by Schumer on one side and McCain, Graham and Rubio on the other.

    Sen Grassley is right last week events should force the amnesty express to a screeching hault. Schumer has no problem politizing any thing that he sees as a benifit for the lefts agenda. Now it's time that the conservatives push back and say OH HELL NO. Not until there are full hearings, the bill is fully examined and all the crap cut out of it. That would leave the secure the borders and that's about it.

  • This home grown crap is really bugging me. It implies that our way of life fosters this kind of sick, evil "religious" response. Immigration from these "war torn" countries should be very strict and should require an element of forced assimilation. Instead, we allow these groups to settle and create little enclaves wherein the old culture and beliefs are given sustenance. I just don't buy it that these two punks could come to this country and not assimilate into it's culture UNLESS they had a strong influence from the beginning that labeled everything American as evil. I blame the parents and I blame the ignorant, stupid, backward culture that they brought with them from the "homeland".

    It's part of the price we pay for:

    • The younger brother DOES seem to have asssimilated. THe older brother was never happy here, didn't make friends, etc. The younger brother LIKED it here, had friends, made good grades, was on his school wrestling team and every single person who has spoken about him says thei is totally shoocking behaviour from him. I believe the older brother was radicalized, and somehow convinced the younger to take part. Really kind of sad. The younger brother could have had a decent life.

  • I still struggle with this initiative called "Immigration Reform". What's to "reform"? If you are in this country illegally, get the hell out! If you don't, we will throw you out. And for every illegal deported, we will deduct $5,000 from next years foreign aid to his or her home country.

    And I don't give a damn if that is 12 million law-breakers or not. Why do so many conservatives stand for law and order but give a pass to to parasitic trespassers? The rule of law and the decency of principles dictate that we protect our country and our children against illegal behavior.

    And that's all I have to say about that. :)

      • Why are we giving aid to countries that hate us and all we stand for? We give aid to North Korea. Since we are merely in a cease fire treaty with North Korea, but still at war, isn;t that treason? Giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

    I realize that resources are limited and you can't watch potential POI's all the time, but you'd think somebody should have been at least curious in checking his whereabouts and his recent activities just before the marathon. I know, that's Monday morning QB'ing, but hey the FBI gets paid to be over the top cautious and curious about this shit!

    Being muslim the FBI was probably pressured to be lenient and not hold him unless he had a bomb strapped to his torso during the 2011 interview. If this had happened during the Bush years the nightly news crews would be all over that. But not now, with their dear leader BHO in office. No way. Maybe a question or two, at most, and then be happy with whatever the non-answer is, and then move on.
