In the People’s Republic of Zuccotti Park, a self-appointed ruling class has arisen and not all of the proletariat are enamored with it. “The drummers claim that the finance working group even levied a percussion tax of sorts, taking up to half of the $150-300 a day that the drum circle was receiving in tips.” Sounds like OWS is about to get its own Tea Party. The movement’s unelected self-appointed “leaders” are pushing the rest around, taking their money and making the protestors’ lives miserable. Now maybe they can start to understand what the rest of us are pissed off about.

I don't understand. The OWS is allabout "sharing" the wealth, right? But they have done nothing but complain that their stuff is being stolen (shared with others) their money has been stolen (shared with others) and now taxed (shared with the ruling class.) Isn't this what they WANTED?

Yeah, non violent. Tell that to the rape and assault victims! I guess I just can't believe that all this is going on and people simply REFUSE to believe that this is not a spontaneous, grass roots movement protesting a legitimate issue. They even deny what is put before them-its "edited" or not from THIS protest (doesn't the similarity between protests strike anyone as odd?). The total lack of respect for ANYTHING, even themselves ,is appalling.
If you've ever read The Lord of the Flies, then you can understand how human nature always defies attempts at controlling it.
Actually did a paper on it when I was inchool. It should be required reading for everyone-people are not inherently fair, generous and good-that is a taught behaviour. Except it isn't being taught much anymore.

There are power in numbers & thats all they are, numbers. These losers are the ones that never had any friends, always got picked last, and led an invisible life. Now they are being noticed & have a little power, it doesn't really matter what the reason is. They are ripe for the pickin'. This is how they recruit in the jails. They look for those who have been isolated, disillusioned, & broken because they are the most vulnable. Little do they know they are expendable, and will be of no value once their objective is met.
This is like "Animal Farm". Only smellier.
All protesters are created equal but some are more equal than others. This is becoming a laboratory for behavioral psychologists.
Didn't take long for the in-fighting and power struggles to begin did it...Knew it would at some point...Now maybe they will begin to learn some REAL LIFE lessons.
I doubt they'll actually learn anything from it. Probably just go home when it gets cold and say, "Well now, that didn't work very well, did it?" One of my favorite sayings when stupid people muck things up.
