I went as a spectator to Hancock touring Man-Child in 75 or 76. Hang Up Your Hang Ups was so freaking funky and that synth line was great. I nikked it as a staple for decades, still incorporate it now and then. Saw him a couple other times as well. He is a great player and composer.

They might HOPE for pitchforks, but most folks I know have a higher caliber in mind.
The way the goobermint works, the DHS will require a 15 day waiting period for pitchforks, and a background check. The CPSC will require non-removable safety tips on each fork to prevent any injuries. You'll have to attend a two week class on how to use the pitchfork and you'll also be taught about the diversity of each brand. The schools food police will be on hand to inspect your lunches during class and you'll have to take a test which only liberals will pass cause it will be an essay question on our wonderful president. Then the DOJ will not allow groups of more than two to gather with pitchforks in hand, and they will be limited to a fenced off area near the Patomic river where no media will be allowed. You and your fellow protestor will then be searched coming and going by TSA brownshirts. You will be classified as a terrorist based on your possession of weapons and be shipped to the DNC re-education camp where you will be forced to sing Kumbaya with Debbie Washerhands much until you crack...

O'rielly is on Fox at that time. I can't stand the S.O.B., but it's mostly noise to help me wake up. I have however heard his ranting about how even if we drill here and increase the amount of oil on the world market, that it would have NO effect on gas prices. If he doesn't understand the free market and he trains his millions of viewers to think the same way, how do we expect the larger portion of the population to understand Free-Market Capitalism correctly? He's only one of dozens of voices that are spewing the same lies.
To add, the debasement of our currency is the primary cause of high oil prices. Crude and other commodities are pegged to the dollar. All are through the roof. The US stock market is moving up for the exact same reason.
Exactly. The devalued dollar has done much more to raise the price of gas than anything else. O'Reilly is blind to it, and Obama is the cause of it. How much more money can he print before we are considered the penney stock of countries?

I agree and what PF is saying is true. O'Reilly was advocating export taxes and price controls aimed at the oil companies. I was stunned.
Those 5% profits are completely unreasonable. We really need to stop those evil oil companies from stealing such HUGE amounts of money from the unfortunate consumer.
If we increase their taxes from 40% to say 80% - 90% that will drive prices down.
